Can we get a MIC ONLY Ranked playlist?

Its really rare that someone does use a mic in ranked. The matches that i am playing are very quiet.
My friends went all back to halo 5. Communication works best, with people where you played more than 1 match.
But a “mic only” playlist does not guarantee that people will use the mic :roll_eyes:

I will try to keep this brief as this is probably the 3rd post picking up steam regarding the issue:

Forcing microphones onto players may not solve your issue, even if it’s just a separate playlist ,here are just some examples off the top of my head:
I have plugged in my mic, to play in solo/duo mic only playlist BUT:

  • I still don’t talk, at all. I just like hearing everyone else talk, or am looking for a carry, or some other absurd human reason. (Destiny 2 with its “freelance modes” are a good example of this)
  • I’m still using the ping system over verbal shouting.
  • I have everyone muted, either through XBL or the game itself, and again, through some absurd human reasoning, believe mic players play better than no mic players.
  • I’m simply mindlessly chatting about something like guillotines and providing no general benefit to the game or your sanity.
  • I don’t know the call-outs and am spending my entire time dead describing a wall, but like, near the back, not in that bottom ledge or whatever, above that, yeah, on the thing. A poor callout can get people killed believe it or not.
  • I’m speaking another language, one nobody else on my team may speak, unlikely, but the chance is there.

I understand where you’re coming from and having a separate playlist is definitely a better option than forcing everyone to have a mic, but pushing for a “Mic preferred” option is still probably a more viable as 343i has said something about not wanting to take away from other playlist and making them “unhealthy”, I put that in quotations as I don’t really know what that entails, low player count maybe?

If it matters that much to you why don’t you use a LFG feature?

Sounds like a personal problem. Got to find a team to play with if you want full comms all the time.
