Can we wipe the server of current CSR rankings and have everyone start over again? The people who deserve champ will still be champ the people who deserve high Onyx will still get high Onyx. When I bought the game I started out at low Plat so now with every new season that’s pretty much where I begin. Now my gripe isn’t that I think I deserve higher but this is now my third season where I’ve gotten up to high diamond, and I was even able to get to Onyx in one season. to sum up the issue in one sentence: My gameplay has improved and I would like to start out my season going against players who are more my skill level than having to start out low Plat and wait to half way through the season in order to finally get up to a level where I feel like I’m actually learning something. I don’t find it near as exciting when I play my normal style and do well in a lobby with low plats as I do when i’m in upper diamond and I realize that the things that work in those Plat games sometimes don’t in upper level play. How can I get better if I have to spend half of my time wading back through something I already know?
Problem with master CSR reset would be that it would be like the game first started and the first few seasons were terrible at ranking because no one had a previous CSR.
If you have been reaching high diamond these past seasons then it should be placing you against those players then again if you do bad in your placements against them then it will probably start matching you against plats. Maybe you skill level is somewhere between plat - diamond
I am in a similar situation. I will place high platinum in ffa and grind my way up to onyx. I have a fair bit of trouble competing in onyx. So I am most likely a high diamond.
Ya, a reset would just make things weird again. That wouldn’t work. You just got to work harder to get out of your placement box. I totally know what you mean too, and it can be extremely annoying. But you just got to do your best and get higher faster, eventually you will break through that barrier, assuming you can. It just takes time.

I agree with what you’re saying, one thing I don’t understand is how it’ll place you against Onyx and diamond players in your first 10 and you win against those players then somehow end up at Plat 2. In all of my 10 placement matches this season I never went negative, or even, with double digit kills in all 10 and led the team in 8/10 but just because we had some losses in there it had to lower mine.

Ya that’s a thing. Ive experienced and witnessed these happenings in ranking off of the placements. It really doesn’t make sense, and it would be wonderful if the weirdness in our ranking system was fixed, but a reset just wouldn’t do it.
