“Are you crazy!? What a terrible idea! That helmet was overused and looks horrific!”
The initial reaction for some. But I LOVED the Hayabusa helmet. It always looked a little out of place in the Halo universe. But that’s the reason the helmet was so good. It looked wacky and was a delight to wear. That’s just my two cents on, but let’s get to it.
Is there any chance at all, that in the in the GOTY Edition coming out next month, we could get a Hayabusa skin? We’re one year in, we’ve a lot of DLC, but is there still hope? Is there a small chance we could get in a Spartan vinyl or future McFarlane toy (unlikely, but it’s worth a shot.)? I’d be real happy if we could get a skin pack like a “Memories Armor Pack”? A collection of fan-requested Halo armors from the past we didn’t get in this Halo. It is too late to hope?
If it is, will the Hayabusa make it into Halo Xbox One? I hope so.
I believe there might be some copyright hoops 343 would need to jump through. In the meantime, Raider seems to be a spiritual successor.
> It was cut
That image was confirmed to be fake months ago, since the copyrights and licences to the Hayabusa name and appearance belong to TECMO/Team Ninja, the creators of Ninja Gaiden. Bungie struck a deal with Team Ninja to use the Hayabusa design and name in Halo 3, and the could use a Spartan (Nicole 458) in Dead or Alive 4. 343 NEVER had any legal rights to use the name or appearance therefore it wasn’t cut from the game, it was never even designed.
I liked the Hayabusa helmet. But it’s not that we don’t want it. It’s that we CAN’T have it. The only reason Halo 3 had it was because of a marketing deal with Team Ninja, the people who made Ninja Gaiden. Without that deal, 343 would be under threat of law suit if they put it back in. So, but simply, we legally can’t have Hayabusa in the game.

Meh, not the biggest fan of Raider. If the edges on top of the helmet were longer and sharper, I’d wear it. But then it’ll look like the Hayabusa, which leads us to the “copyright hoops.”
You just coined a great new term.

Proof please.
From my understanding that image was designed by one of the artists for Halo 4 that did the other armor sets, that set simply was never put in the game likely due to the licensing hurdles you mentioned before meaning it was legitimately designed for Halo 4 and not “fake” in any sense of the word. If it was “confirmed” to be fake, I’d love to see the evidence.
