Can we get a flight with enemy outlines disabled?

I’d really like a chance to test this out. If we can have a build where only teammates are outlined, and the shield color is defaulted to yellow we can provide real feedback on whether or not that’s enough to determine friend from foe.

The outlines cause quite a few visual issues, from blending in with your reticle (which changes to match any outline you chose for the enemy) to shield strength being more difficult to gauge and also making exact reticle placement harder to determine to making enemies entirely too easy to spot, especially at long ranges, when small missable details are poking out of cover, and through smoke, foliage, and other effects meant to impede vision. I’ve even seen enemy outlines popping through thin walls when they are crouching beside a door (this totally gave away a player near A/C commando on recharge and gave me a free hammer kill when I otherwise would have probably run right in and gotten backsmacked).

Just let us try it out before making this the final decision for the game. It’s too divisive a feature not to.

20 years of Halo games prove there no need to shield colour outlined
Now the wounded Spartans became all colored, the light is too bright and artificial, it give the impression to play to a game for children
The damage shield can be see from afar
Having a red allie or a blue ennemy with opposite color shield is really disturbing
