Can we get a 1v1 playlist in halo 4?

Honestly, past performances of this playlist arent really fair to judge the potential it could have.

In the past, radar and too many power weapons were the 2 main problems. Both of those can obviously be fixed.

Radar leads to camping, and think about the power weapons. The default maps were designed with 4v4 in mind, so there needs to be alot less powerweapons.

Thoughts and discuss.

No.1vs will lead to boosting and such. 2vs 2 is better.

Halo 2 had this kind of playlist, people still managed to get in games with each other to boost. Plus it just leads to one person getting 1 kill more than you and they run for the rest of the game. Wasn’t great IMO.

Which is why you make a good game to where they cant do that…

examples

No radar prevents running away whilst having knowledge of opponents location
Good maps prevent “dead zones” and places to get out of map
no sprint (i can dream) will prevent people from sprinting away the whole game

heres a good game i found on YT http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot4ukIIaXjA

Just because you have no radar doesn’t mean you can’t hide or run away either.

While the video you provided gives an idea of how it will play, am assuming because of the title, MLG players… they can’t go hiding and make it a boring recording now can they? They look for each other.

Not all players play with the intention of always going after you, people will do anything to win for their rank or experience online… and if that means running away then they will run away or do something else people consider cheap.

I like the idea of the playlist, i played it a number of times before… but people ruin it and then its population goes low then it gets removed.

I suggest you look up HLG. Keep it for customs

Your being close minded if you think these problems cant be solved with game settings and a decent map.

Firstly map structure shouldnt allow for ultra campy spots, and secondly there should be stuff on the map that promotes a little thing that used to be common in halo called MAP MOVEMENT.

I agree completely. All I play is Doubles, and I know a 1v1 playlist is possible with a little attention.

It could work. I’m for this, definitely.

If someone doesn’t like the idea, they simply don’t have to play it.

I see 1v1, i think of boosting. Save 1v1’s for customs. Halo is a team based game anyways.

You asked for my thoughts and for us to discuss then you say am closed minded?

They tried it before, it was a mess. I’m not saying for them not to do it. I’m ‘discussing’ my previous experience with this playlist and giving you my ‘thoughts’ on it.

If they could do something to make it worth while that actually worked then superrrrrrr! They tried before though and it didn’t work.

1v1 playlist would be great IMO

FFA being the first game loaded when you pop in your disc on ANY halo must be my imagination then…

And like someone else said, just make there no reward.

I wasnt aware discussing and closeminded were antonyms…anyways they tried it before, with terrible settings which is why you CHANGE them to do BETTER.

Honestly don’t why i bother posting on here sometimes…

Give every player PV so they can’t hide, bam sorted. 1v1 Playlist inbound.

I hope your being sarcastic…

You know, theres a thing called map positioning thats also a skill to be learned in halo…

Showing everyones position like that would remove skillgap and map knowledge.

Too much boosting and butthurt for it to be a playlist, neither of these problems can be fixed I’m sorry to say.

> Too much boosting and butthurt for it to be a playlist, neither of these problems can be fixed I’m sorry to say.

Shame, i heard somewhere 343i was full of 200 talented employees with college degrees. You would think over 10 years someone could think of a way to solve this.

Oh hey i thought of one, never match the same person more than 1-3 times.

They should hire me.

> 1v1 playlist would be great IMO

i think so too
