Can we expect a dead Arbiter?

From my perspective yes. This is because I expect him to be killed of in The Thursday war. This could also be the reason of the elite aggressors. And for a fiscal reason 343 probably couldn’t hire the original voice actor and they knew that if the gave Thel a new voice sales would plummet.

No, he’s probably busy reclaiming his Homeworld.

Don’t know why he couldn’t possibly be in Halo 5. Love to go fight against the ancient evil on Sanghelios and BAM Arbiter.

I don’t think so, and I have a few reasons.

  1. The Arbiter is a major character, almost as major as the Master Chief, and to unceremoniously kill him off before the events of the game would be a bad idea, (as far as fans are concerned).

  2. I don’t think 343i would have any problem getting Keith David to voice the Arbiter like he has in the prior two games. I don’t know, but I imagine 343i has quite a substantial budget.

  3. I think the Arbiter will still play an important role in the new trilogy. He may not show up in Halo 4, but like in the first trilogy, he may make his appearance in the second game.

I don’t know, I have a number of theories however:

  1. Avu Med Telcam and Abiding Truth killed him
  2. He’s alive but he is on Sangheillios trying to rebuild.
  3. He’s alive but in a seperate system fighting Abiding Truth

I really hope no because he is my favorite character. And he has quite an important role in the Halo universe and he is too amazing to be killed off in the books. Whatever happens in the books, I hope he just kicks everybodies -Yoink-.

Maybe Halo 5 will end as a cliff hanger with his return at the very end of the game…

But no matter what, he should be in the games. His has a fantastic voice actor and his character is obviously BA.

Killing him off in a book would be a huge slap to the Elite fanbase, and after losing our Elite’s in Multiplayer. Im not sure if we could take much more.

Im hoping he will return in Halo 5 with his allied Sangheli, by the look’s of it were gonna need all the help we can get against the Promethean’s.

Jul would most likely be his killer, but I really hope not, having the arbiter back in Halo 5 or even possibly Halo 4 would be great.

Terrific. A three way fight to the death… like the Tartarus fight on Legendary wasn’t hard enough…

I’m not implying the Arbiter to be another enemy. Hopefully an enemy powerful enough to threaten everyone sobers everybody up to the idea of “Hey, maybe we shouldn’t kill each other anymore.”

Uhh. From who? The Sangheili homeworld never had to be reclaimed.

Servants of Abiding Truth…Covenant Loyalists invasion perhaps…plenty of possibilities.

You just want death, huh? It seems so.

No, the Arbiter will not die in Halo 4 unless it’s part of the back-story or unless he can get to fighting with John in the later parts of the trilogy. Until then, let’s hope for more books.

Not a big Elite fan but I’m a big Aribter fan, with that being said his death better be cinematic and not in a book. And that’s if he has to die. Which I hope doesn’t happen

Ugh, I wouldn’t put it past Traviss to kill off the Arbiter as some sort of plot-twist to add more drama. I hope she does better with Thursday War than Glasslands, that book was so bad I can’t even look at it anymore. If one of her characters brings up how much they (she) hates Halsey one more time, I’ll burn the book and write my own.

Then I’ll send it to 343 and they’ll get me to write the next one, 'cuz I’m not stupid enough to screw with the canon just to make a point.

OT, I hope the Arbiter is still on our side and hopefully in the game. He’s the boss.

I hope not. Killing Arbiter off in a book would have been awful. If he’s going to die, it’s going to be in the games. It’d be like killing off Sgt Johnson in Ghosts of Onyx or something. The majority of Halo fans don’t even read the books and a lot of people would be pissed if they found out a main character had just been killed off without even knowing it.

Actually, I want most of the characters to survive. The reason for my threads John, Cortana, Arbiter is because, 1 I expect but do not wish for said characters to die in this trilogy and 2, i am going to make a fan script for the trilogy similar to what DecepticonCobra has been doing and i want to see wants/expects before i begin.

Arby no!

As an Arbiter fan, I cannot allow that to happen.

Hopefully he’ll make it into Halo 5 or 6… Or even Halo 4. :stuck_out_tongue:
