I agree, one guy has made like, four or five separate threads, and others made other threads, and it’s really stinkin’ repetitive and annoying because it’s the same stupid thing over and over thing.
And, creating a separate thread isn’t necessarily helping. Next time, message a mod (such as snickerdoodle, she’ll help out) with a PM instead of creating another thread. Just for future reference!
Well, people wouldn’t make these threads if sprint actually contributed at least something good to the core Halo gameplay. Rather, it just sucks the life out of Halo like a leech.

So then express that opinion in the 5 other related threads that are on the front page.
Since Sprint is such a hot topic to many, then how about we make a Mega thread, and house multiple links to well fed Sprint threads into the Mega thread.
We should sticky/pin the Megathread so that everyone sees it every time. Lock all the links so they don’t get bumped. I know what a terrible idea right -_•

I’m not really sure about this. It’s kinda hard to make a healthy mega thread when it’s built on a debate where eventually the objective of the thread will be swayed to one side or the other.
Inevitably what will happen is that the thread will become completely for sprint or against sprint and anybody who opposes the idea will be too intimidated to speak their mind because they’ll have to enter hostile territory in order to say anything and they wont be able to start a fresh discussion without that intimidation and we most certainly don’t want to make an environment like that and then throw all the sprint debaters in their.
Would anybody like to walk into the Sangheili thread and talk about how they hate Elites? No because there’s over 400 pages of discussion that opposes their views. The Sangheili thread is of course different in this regard due to the large lack of opposition to the return of the Elites but when it comes to a topic as hot as sprint I don’t think constructing a mega thread is the best course of action.

Ehh, it’s going to happen anyways. Some people already know how the majority of the forums feel about AAs as well, but they still post threads like, “Guardians needs AAs and Ads” etc. it’s inevitable for those people to get swarmed by the masses. If someone posted that Guardians shouldn’t have elites, they will get wrecked whether they were in Sangheili thread or not.

You’re absolutely right when you say that people are gonna get swarmed anyway and this shouldn’t be considered a problem.
A person here can make a thread and put their thoughts in the spotlight and then get drilled on why their in the wrong. We’ve all been there and we either come out of it with a better understanding or we need another lecture in the next thread we make. If the person’s sensible sooner or later something will sink in.
I’m just worried that funneling everything into one discussion will discourage those from putting their ideas in the spotlight and then they’ll miss out on being told directly why they’re right or wrong. There’ll be a a lot less people having the arguments regarding sprint explained to them and instead they’ll just silently resent those who disagree with them without ever being enlightened.
This is all purely a hypothetical problem though. For all I know people could still be willing to present their thoughts on sprint without intimidation with or without a mega thread and I’m pulling problems out of thin air.
Every discussion about Sprint needs to be locked. How many threads has been made addressing the “Sprint” argument now? 20 times?
