Can we all take a moment and appreciate how great the music and gameplay in Halo Infinite is?

The Gameplay isn’t great.

The movement, weapon Handling, BR and AR “feel” great.

The weapon spawns, vehicles spawns, sandbox balance and radar are attrocious

God the music is just so good. I’ve been listening to it most of the day lol. I forgot to take my playlist off repeat but I regret nothing.

I have a lot of grievances with this game, but the music is not one of them. The OSTs are great.

There’s a reason for that. All of the good music in Infinite is taken from original scores.

Honestly, as far as OSTs go, I think God of War (God of War 3 - Overture, GOW 2, etc), Hotline Miami 1&2, Bloodborne/Dark Souls has the monk chants beat. Maybe it’s cause I don’t have monk chat nostalgia from the older halos but nothing particularly stood out in my brain like say, the Darksiders 2 Guardian theme.
Any specific tracks stand out?

10/10

So many wont be able to resist.

Music is great, gameplay quality is subjective
Not really a fan of most of it, but if desync gets fixed, maybe I’ll have less issues to be annoyed about

I like all the music. It’s cool to keep it on low volume during the gameplay too. Makes for some cool layers/depth to the match.

The soundtrack was a soothing pleasure for my ears. I think my favorite track from Infinite was Never Tell Me the Odds. It’s like a blend of Halo CE’s, 3’s and 4’s ost’s where each game is budding heads to sound louder than each other’s style.

The game play is absolutely perfect when it works. I hope season 2 will be where everything comes together.

I do love the mechanics the over all feel is good. I love that they finally went back to equipment pick ups. I supposed the music is good as well. We just need way better l multiplayer maps and regular features for the campaign. Also a better progression system and they should do the weekly events more often.

After reading your post, for some reason Chevy Chase standing at the top of the Grand canyon looks at it for like 3 seconds, and say, okay, let’s go came to mind.

the campaign music and the main/iconic suite are really good
but the multiplayer music honestly is so generic… sounds more hollywood action heroe than halo

hit the nail on the head.
The campaign is great. orchestra, drums, that feeling of huge scope.

the PVP to me always sounded too…dreamy beachside. I know that’s weird, but at the start of a match I always think of that lol. doesn’t feel “big” I guess. or when you’re in matchmaking, it sounds like a hero elevator music. it’s hard for me to really explain it other than that or generic. but dont get me wrong, it sounds good. not saying it sounds bad or like nails on a chalkboard lol

now that i think of it, it could be a lack of violins? idk halo 4 or 5 didnt have this much issue lol
