Can we all just relax now that this has been said?

Andy Robinson(CVG.com): You mentioned in the reveal presentation that combat’s a bit more frantic in Halo 4?

Josh Holmes(343i):Specifically I said it’s faster paced and more intense in terms of the imerssiveness of the experience and just the overall visceralness of the experience - that’s been a real focus for our team. When you look at Halo games throughout the series they’ve changed pretty substantially in terms of pace of play. Halo Reach is much slower and more methodical than Halo 3. What we wanted to do is push the balance back towards a faster paced combat feel. That’s what we’ve really done.

NOW CAN EVERYONE PLEASE, stop saying halo 4 will suck and will be reach 2? And stop basing, bashing, assuming, arguing and hating over small snippets of game play?

Please pass this thread around the argument threads so people can see that halo 4 will be much faster paced like halo 3 and have that core halo feel!

inb4 wait till the game is out cause it could still be reach 2

inb4 op cant inb4

inb4 op is a reach fangirl

inb4 random sprint argument and hate

You can’t stop ignorance, I’m sure people are going to keep makinng threads complaining based on 20 seconds of footage. I’m optimistic though

I really hope not… i mean 343 cant be ANYMORE clear than this. They are basically saying that the classic side of halo 4 will play like halo 3!

What more could they want??!

I am getting fed up with this community and their negativity, but, as long as I like the game, it’s fine.

I completely and wholeheartedly agree, although I sincerely doubt that actual statements from 343 will convince people otherwise from whatever crazy notion they have about the tiny bit of information we’ve received.

Furthermore… wait, “fangirl”? Oh, do go on. ;p

This is basically saying “We looked at Reach, and said ‘No’”

Still won’t shut people up from -Yoinking!- about Sprint.

LOL some people on the forum have branded me as a reach fangirl because my account is an inheritor. The only reason it is though is because its a shared account and gets LOTS of playtime. I loved each halo game as it came out and cant wait for halo 4 though =)

The only thing that will cause this community to relax and abandon its ignorance is the occurrence of some sort of mass puberty.

> The only thing that will cause this community to relax and abandon its ignorance is the occurrence of some sort of mass puberty.

Come on lets not flame or attack anyone broadly =P People are just afraid of change and go defensive against the smallest thing.

Lets try to be friends xD

> The only thing that will cause this community to relax and abandon its ignorance is the occurrence of some sort of mass puberty.

Phahahhaha. Best post I have seen in a while.

All I can say is you can tell the Halo community are obese people, because they hate sprinting.

> All I can say is you can tell the Halo community are obese people, because they hate sprinting.

I’m going to have to recycle your reply here, and say that this is one of the funniest statements I’ve read in a while; I actually laughed aloud.

> Come on lets not flame or attack anyone broadly =P People are just afraid of change and go defensive against the smallest thing.

Actually, attacking broadly is the only kind of attacking that’s allowed on this forum; citing specific people will get you suspended. Besides, it was a jest more than an attack.

This doesn’t contradict the fact that Custom Loadouts and progressive benefits system much like “perks” will be contained in Halo 4 and will tie in with gameplay. What has been said from 343 Industries employee’s so far hasn’t been a solid confirmation as to what is and what isn’t in Halo 4; rather a play of words. Ignorance is not assuming something, ignorance is assuming something wrong that has been genuinely proven a contradiction when your point in turn really hasn’t.

I don’t like to assume stereotypically considering how different the world is today, you would be suprised.

How about this idea? What if 343 has a set of playlists that play like classic halo? and a set of playlists that feature the use of these progressive upgrades?

Frank has confirmed classic halo is there but along side it they want to evolve the franchise and bring in new fans. That sounds an awful lot like 2 sets of playlists. IT may divide the community but at least everyone will be happy.

And your point? Does this mean that they’re somehow NOT implementing any other of there horrible gimmicky ideas?

No. So, this only kind of matters, but not a whole lot.

Yeah I heard about that but I still think that Halo shouldn’t be a moderate replicate of the so called “Custom Loadouts” and “Perks”/“Progressive” benefits system; this can’t be the most evolutionary appealing way to satisfy our current modern fps playing society already. Unique innovation is what made Halo and I hope it’s what continues to make it.

Cool, this is much more detailed in what they are going for. Thanks for post. Notice how not one complainer has posted on this lol. They will continue to rage.

> I don’t like to assume stereotypically considering how different the world is today, you would be suprised.

Please don’t assume that we were being serious. My remark was a comment on immaturity, not youth; I have met enough people in my life to know that puberty is not the point at which maturity is gained (it certainly wasn’t for me).

What has been said by 343 Industries is just a play of words, it doesn’t mean that it is a direct contradiction of the gameplay containing AA’s/Progressive Benefits/Custom Loadouts which is what the Community is mostly complaining about.

I never assumed anything, I just wrote my opinion towards the point. It’s nice to know that you gained maturity during puberty though… Not really…
