Tbh I’m driving home from vacation, I’ll be home sometime around 2 AM, I’ll be playing as Serina and playing Operation Spearbreaker for the first time. Since I’ve been consistently keeping up with the forums I’ll be looking forward to fight Forge (yay…), I haven’t complained about him or Serina yet since I haven’t played yet, I find it strange how people can find a way to call someone OP or UP until we play as them, in the stream we only saw YapYap’s battling each other so we don’t know how effective they’ll be against other leaders, people’s speculations may be right but like you said let’s just wait and see how it turns out.

I also recall people saying Engineer/Skitterer was OP and broken the week Colony was released.
It takes time to see if things are actually broken.
If I recall metaloid predicted that Jerome was still going to be number 1 before this season started. I’m excited to see how Yapyap will play.

Why? When we’ll know either way almost immediately.
Yapyap is definitely overpowered. His leadership powers are just way too strong.
This happens every time a new leader comes out, there’s no stopping it Breezy. People like to speculate and then be right so down the road they can say “i called this before he came out.” I agree, let him drop and we will see his playstyle after a few days and then we can all reconvene here and discuss. Or to be more effective, we can go to the non-official forums, because they read that more often. Sorry, there’s just a lot of salt in my system on that topic and it still just blows my mind
I guess it’s fun to make predictions. But, yea, like with everything, many ppl will react like it’s the apocalypse.

This has become a different world since the great Serina and Forge disaster. I agree with Breezy that we should definitely all wait before using terms like “OP” until release, but I think it’s good for 343 to know that we already have concerns about certain leader powers and units. Yapyap scares me since he seems like he is going to be a unstoppable early game due to his leader powers.
I think there is a nice middle area where the forums can voice their concerns, but not jump to conclusions.

I strongly believe you can look at statistics on paper and predict the future. You CAN look at the leader power radial and basic leader facts to see a clear OP trajectory. Between free units and don’t shoot me, I can already see how this is not only going to be annoying but also a struggle to compete against.
ONE way in which the developers can bring more balance to team play is through limiting one leader per team. This would not only allow more diversity in gameplay, but also limit inevitable exploits.

I like the idea of one leader per team, but can we please get BANNING in Ranked matches? It would solve the problem of new leaders dominating ranked.

They said the goal was early this week, I believe the team doesnt like mondays (like most human beings) so although nothing is official i would guess tomorrow, wednesday at the latest.
