I use the storm rifle alot but everytime i kill somebody with the suppressor im forced to pick it up. Why? Because its intresting just like the lightrifle. But what kills me about the gun is the bloom. I can barely land one bullet. My question is how do you master it? And what kinda tactics should i use when going against somebody? And should the bloom be fixed? After all it is a forerunner weapon and forerunner are the most advanced people to live i think they could of built a weapon that controls its bloom.
ahhhh excellent excellent, your talking to the lord of the suppressor, got like a 100/1 kd with it and about a 2/1 overall mind you. pick promethean vision, aa efficiencey, and stealth and constantly be sneaking around bushwhacking people. try to anticipate where your enemies are moving and set an ambush! you can kill someone faster than they can say “i got owned”. you have to get close though! just pretend you have a shotgun! if someone on the promethean scan is holding a pistol, you can bet its a boltshot. in this case the roles reverse, your the one back peddling while he runs at you. if you start getting shot by a dmr, run for cover and bait him in close! lastly, run plasma grenades, your going to be close anyways, so if all goes to heck, stick him!

Completed that in late December. About 3000 kills. Nice weapon.
The Suppressor has slightly more spread than teh AR but, for whatever reason, when I used the Suppressor, I’d almost always beat an AR user or anyone else at close range.
I’m using the AR now only to complete its commendation. I’m enjoying using it too.
With both, I have been surprised at the range I can bring someone down with them.
Also, controlled burst firing in most instances is better than spray and pray.
I used to exclusively run supressor and regen field in regicide matches, and it won me most games.
Then again, it could just be regen doing that.
The Suppressor is quite the strange gun. The only SMG in the game (dont know if the Needler is an SMG…) and it is intended to be used as one. It has a short range so keep that in mind! Dont burst into battle without knowing your range. Sneak attacks are your primary goal. It has a quick kill time but only up close.
This is a good time to use your Pulse Grenade as well, as soon as you see the shields pop, plant one of them beneath them for an instant kill. It is an instant kill also if you have the Explosion mod active and the enemy has low shields.
These two things are a deadly combo. I suggest a Plasma pistol as the secondary weapon for guarantee fun.
The supressor is the best and most close ranged weapon when it comes to automatic.
I have used it and I’m going to again for its mastery and I should tell you that making vertical movements in CQC makes the gun oddly more accurate.
I really think it isn’t too bad. Its definitely not nearly as good as the storm rifle. But I’ve seen people do extremely well with it in Regicide matches.

I’ve got a great technique that will vastly improve your proficiency with the Suppressor. Keep it on the down low though, okay?
Hold RT.
Just grind Regicide, I guess.
AR is MLG, though.
Oh man that gun rocked my socks when I used it. Just feeling the hard light rounds tearing through your enemy at pointblank range is ecstasy.
I haven’t really played halo in a while due to having lot’s of badass games but I’m going to rally up a friend to come back
Oh advice…Hmms. Well I don’t really have any specific loadout or anything but I’ve tried all the weapons quite extensively save for maybe the Plasma Pistol and I have to say that is works best in regicide. You could do infinity slayer but it’s tougher there.
That gun sucks horribly. I was happy when I mastered it since I knew I would never have to use such a garbage weapon again.
The suppressor is so effective close range. The downside is that it does have crazy bloom on it. If they are farther away try feathering the trigger to keep the reticule a bit tighter.
Close range though is the key.
Use the suppressor in regicide matches for a great way to rack up kills. If you’re king, let the others come to you and when two of them cross paths with each other, ambush both of them once they have weakened shields. This woks especially well on maps like haven or Adrift. If you’re not king then I would generally attack players on the way to kill the king, don’t engage the king in a head on assault, only attack him from behind or the sides or if he has no shields. Also as a quick tip for all engagements with the suppressor, don’t hold back with the melee. Due to the high fire rate you can unload a large amount of bullets into an enemy and finish them off with a quick melee.
For a class loadout I would recommend:
Primary: Suppressor (Obviously)
Secondary: Boltshot. Good close quarters weapon when you need to use it, also has headshot capability if you can place the shot.
Grenade: Frag. Good for bouncing around walls and has a good area of effect. Use them to weaken enemies and then go in and clean up the kills.
Armour Ability: Promethean Vision. Incredibly useful. Suits the close quarters and flanking style of the suppressor extremely well. Use it to:
-Get the jump on an enemy.
-Throw a well placed grenade.
-Withdraw round a corner after taking damage from someone at range (DMR, BR etc) and jump at them when they round the corner,
-View incoming enemies when you are the king and be able to determine when to engage two hostile players fighting each other.
-View where enemies are spawning and their general movement around the map.
Promethean Vision augments your situational awareness but you should not solely rely on it. Occasionally players will use stealth or active camo which will generally not be picked up by promethean vision. Keep track of your motion sensor.
Tactical: AA Efficiency. Promethean vision is crucial to your play style and AA efficiency simply lets you use it more often, which you will need.
Support: Dexterity. Due to the fast paced nature of regicide you will be burning through a lot of bullets. The suppressor had a moderate to long reload time so dexterity quickens it drastically. Another perk is the ability to quickly switch to your boltshot when needed.
Some players would recommend stealth in this slot and it does compliment the supressor’s play style well, but personally I wouldn’t recommend it. In regicide, either everyone is coming towards you and you have a waypoint placed on your head, rendering it useless, or everyone is so focused on the king that no one really cares about one player on their own. Just generally stay out of sight and you should be fine.
Hope anyone who reads this finds it helpful!
I prefer to use this weapon in a firepower load out, paired with your precision weapon of choice. It has a niche and thats CQC. When put against the other automatics it has the longest medium range kill time and the shortest CQC kill time.
In the hands of a knowledgeable player it’s extremely effective and with the Boltshot being nerfed perhaps more people will favour this weapon as time goes on.
Any gun can be mastered
I use the Suppressor and BR, with frags, dexterity, and thruster pack/ pro vision. This has been one of my best ever loadouts and I get 300+ points per 4v4 game with it.

Let’s not bring up old threads please.
