I’ve been trying to find some Halo 4 gameplay with the Plasma pistol but even when I do they always seem to just overcharge it. Does anyone here know if its still capable of killing effectively with its normal firing mode like in Reach when it could kill in 10 shots?
I’ll make it work. I made it work in Reach and made people cry. I got a Yoink with it once.
It works as effectively as it did in Reach. But charging drains the ammo MUCH faster and is slower, almost no homing, but the green semi-auto firing is as deadly as it was.

Good I was trying to decide which sidearm I would use first when the game came out and right now a choice between the Plasma Pistol and Boltshot. I might just have to go with the Plasma Pistol if its still the beast it was in Reach.
Plasma pistol FTW
Awesome. The PP made my life somewhat bearable during my solo legendary run.

In terms of quality, the Boltshot actually looks like it would fit in like the snub pistol from Gears. It’s insanely accurate, it’s as fast as you pull the trigger, but the damage isnt too great. And it has the shotgun charge which makes it somewhat akin to the mauler…Though Ive never seen someone pull a successful kill with it

That is true I just wish someone would post gameplay using the PP or Boltshot effectively so that we can better judge them and their capabilities.

Im somewhat surprised Bravo didnt ask anyone to use it, or Eli to use it since he was really the only mlg member NOT to use the BR or DMR for a majority of the match.

I honestly prefer it to the overcharge in pretty much all situations
im excited to use both the plasma pistol and bolt shot. Im big on secondary weapon use just in case. I just wish you could use the boltshot or plasma pistol with the flag. that would be so sweet.
