The shout-outs, Kill-cams and surprise-or-die health system really kills a big component of Halo games. Cool, let these features be available in an “MLG Wannabe” category akin to the different rules governing SWAT games. I understand some people can only justify the insane amount of hours they log as some kind of “Rudy” fantasy about making it big-time in their heads. On the other hand, majority of the players who will keep coming back to play and not just jump ship when the next FPS is the new thing are the people who sincerely enjoy just kicking their feet up, enjoying a beverage or fine “cigar” and listening to a new album/playlist while they play a cornerstone of multiplayer gaming. I’ve rolled with the punches on changes made from Halo to Halo games because that’s the cost of progress, that’s why I merely propose a compromise. I, like the rest of the people here, have no idea what the launch version will even look like, but if 343 hasn’t been planning to do so, they should seriously consider making a separate channel for this kind of trendy nonsense much the way SWAT rules are.
