Can the first two Halo games still connect here?

So I know that Xbox Live/Network was discontinued for the original Xbox back in 2010. I saw somewhere on Halo Waypoint (this website) that there is a section that tracks statistics for Halo: CE and Halo 2. If I were to play either of those games now would my stats (I don’t have any now as I didn’t have XBL when I played them) update or would they not since the console no longer has XBL?

I may be wrong, but I believe only stats from MCC are tracked for those two titles. Halo: CE and Halo 2 stats were strictly on Bungie.net and never moved over to Waypoint.

HALO: CE ANNIVERSARY is fully tracked on here showing achievements, campaign completion, terminals unlocked, skulls unlocked, and analyzed objects (360 Kinect). Halo 2 also does have tracking but only if you played the game before 3/31/12. It tracked things such as games, kills, and deaths.

Your Halo 2 stats wouldn’t update as Xbox LIVE has long been shut down for the Original Xbox.

Halo 2 stats were moved to Waypoint, only the simple ones though. You can check if you go to the Halo 2 section. Halo 3, Reach, and 4 stats still somewhat update when the servers aren’t down. Here are yours.
