Even if the competitive side won’t be as good you shouldn’t let it ruin the whole game for you, and I don’t really see it as a big deal. If you were a real halo fan you wouldn’t complain this much about the competitive side. EVERYTHING else is perfect, so keep that in mind.

This mindset just doesn’t make sense to me. Does it not register to you that WHAT WE ENJOY ABOUT THE GAME IS DIFFERENT THAN YOU WHAT ENJOY ABOUT THE GAME? The way you’re looking at the situation is the same way that people look at video games and say “oh they’re a waste of time! you’re an idiot for enjoying those!”. It’s the same damn thing. Everyone enjoys different things. We’re so upset because it’s -Yoink- ing important to us. do you think we’d be complaining if wasn’t important to us? Do you think we’d be complaining if we felt “oh don’t worry we have all the rest of the game”? No. We clearly DON’T have the rest of the game. How would you feel if ALL ranks, including the progressive system was removed? Maybe this doesn’t apply to you, but it applies to a lot of people. people need something to strive for, something to show them that their effort was worth something. For a lot of us, progressive ranks simply don’t cut it. We find no pleasure in “oh we play a lot” we find pleasure in seeing “hey I leveled up because I GOT BETTER AT THE GAME” or worked together well with my friends or whatever else. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. EVERYONE FINDS DIFFERENT THINGS IMPORTANT. IF YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY SOMEONE IS COMPLAINING YOU OBVIOUSLY DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO THEM AND WHY. So instead of asking “can you guys shut up” why don’t you make an effort to UNDERSTAND WHY IT’S IMPORTANT TO US and then, only then, will you see why we’re upset.
No matter what is said people will always have a differance of opion. But, if people are really wanting to be compeditive u can always check your and others stats on waypoint. u always have K/D and BPR and the amount of medals u have. It may not make it really convienent for ppl to be really copeditive but it is still there u just have to put a little more effort in it… as long as my game play is good and my stats stay positive im all good. just know compeditive stats are there just not as a numbered rank…

I’ll complain when Grifball gets less attention than competitive players. Especially since 343 recognizes Grifball as a smaller community.
Also, when every single other community in the game[Aside from maybe Race players] stop getting priority, while competitive players get nothing.

Sorry, I’ll stop it now. But really though, did this really require a poll? 99% of people here are sick of the complaining as well. It’s normal in the forums close to release. Some jimmies are going to be rustled no matter what decisions are made. It is to be expected. If there was just one collective thread for people to complain in, that would be fine, but instead there are multiple threads on the same topic. Lately it seems to be people whining about the ranks.
