Can’t use the tag Gman

I went on halo 5 and decided to make my tag Gman. It said basically that it is either reserved or violates their code of conduct but I have no idea how. Any ideas?

“G-Man” is mainly known as that myself dude in Half Life. I don’t know much about the series, but he’s a major character in it. Outside of the gaming world, it is a slang for a federal agent. So either having references to other games is not allowed or having tags of nicknames for government employees is not allowed.

I’d say that it’s probably taken or the government employee reference is an issue

Make it Gmen? Works well too if your a NY Giants fan!

Rise and shine Master Chief, the right Spartan in the wrong place can make a difference in the world, so wake up Master Chief, wake up and smell the Plasma…

Sorry man but it had to be said, that’s usually what I think when I hear G-Man.

It possible Gman might be mistaken by the game for a shortening of Gayman.

Any amount of people can have the same Service Tag, for example, three people in one game can all have “Poo” as their Tag.

Who knows really since the rules for that stuff are pretty strict. I mean, I remember when they made Naked Eli change his gamertag. So dumb.

I bet it’s an easter egg referencing half life. I hope so, that would be super duper cool!

I was thinking he was talking about tag as in gt lul.

Compliments of a Vinesauce Halo 4 video with Fred, the term Gman can be used in a vulgar manner, as in the same terminology as “Who’s your daddy?”, but instead “Who’s the Gman?” when killing an enemy, which is likely why the specific tag is likely locked from being used, due to the reference of vulgarity. Double the term up with teabagging an enemy after killing them while saying it and it makes sense.

If you name started with a “C” I would understand the potential offense. Not sure about Gman.

That’s really weird
