Can;t get game to load past the first screen

I’ve been attempting to load the game up and i get to where a spartan is standing there with the halo wars 2 screen, but when i press start the screen goes dim, never loads.

anyone else having an issue? I’ve rebooted already and im in the process of deleting/re downloading it.

Update: the reinstall didnt seem to work. here is the screen shot of what im seeing… can anyone help?

Halo wars 2 screen errors

Give it a few seconds, wait till the screen changes(Should take about 5-6 seconds) and then it should work fine. Spamming START right when the screen pops will freeze the game.

let me try that

yea man that just hangs… does nothing. let me try it on my other system.

Press X and then select your profile. That’s how I get past the start screen.

so my other system was frozen at the start screen as well… i restarted the game and instead of hitting start button, i clicked on X then my profile again. that worked.

silly, bug, check.

Ahhh so that’s the issue. I get the black screen waited for 5 mins restaryed.black screen…etc

Hmm I have to do the no profile selected. And hit okay… otherwise it hangs forever

If I press X there is a window that opens for a second and after that I have a error. I have to choose a valid profile to proceed even if I had no choice. Anyone help maybe?
Thank you
