In the last mission of halo 3 the door at the beginning won’t open so I can’t finish the game. Did someone had the same issue, can it be fixed ?
Guilty Spark will not open the door until all flood are killed, so double check to make sure they are all dead. Also, Johnson should come down from the cliff and say “Open up! Coast is clear.”
If this doesn’t work, try reverting the last checkpoint after you cleared all the flood.

for some reason Johnson would always stay on the cliff, so i had to reinstall the campaign

After I read these responses I got frustrated and decided to just kill Johnson with a grenade… the doors opened and I was able to continue.
This happened to me too, the grenade thing worked.
But how does Johnson survive a grenade and not a plasma beam from Guilty Spark?
The glitch that I’m having on door is u see urself in door an can’t go threw it
Grenade trick kinda worked… Johnson is dead.

im not sure if this helps or not, but out of pure anguish, I shot Sgt. Johnson with a Rocket Launcher, this fixed the issue, and the doors opened
