Not sure why, but for a few days I just have NOT been able to find many games. I’m Champ 8 in head2head and just timed out 4 searches in a row. In FFA I am Champ 32 and just timed out a search as well.
Was talking to Dcmons yesterday (FFA Champ 1), and he can’t find matches either.
I’ve been searching “expanded”.
Perhaps the parameters for who you can match need to be expanded, because this is ridiculous.
I’m a much lower tier than you, as per my thread, suddenly I cannot find a ranked match at all. Contacted several friends, all having the same issue. All are Australian. Not sure if that’s part of the issue.
No dramas with social games although slower to match than usual
Played some ranked and Warzone a few days ago and didn’t have any issues. Then again, I’ve never been remotely close to hitting Champion, so it might just be your high MMR imessing with you. Have you tried searching for games in playlists other than FFA and H2H?
I bet H2H and FFA have much lower populations than the other ranked playlists…I.be surprised if each playlist has even reached 200 champs yet. This is probably the main problem rather than the MM parameters.

Can you expand on why it was a problem to begin with? It also seems to me that I’m now getting better quality (more even) matches. I’m very curious.

Without getting into too specific of details, there was a bottleneck somewhere and we think we widened that enough to let more people through.

Looking at your FFA logs, you timed out once, but you canceled the other two searches after only 100 seconds.
The first try, when you timed out, that was actually expected. There weren’t even 5 other players available for you to play with, so it couldn’t make a match.
But the second and third times both would have matched after around 3 minutes, so I suggest letting the search go for its full time first.

At that time of day (night), there’s only 1 player searching every 4 minutes, so you just won’t find a match no matter what we do. There just aren’t enough people playing FFA right now.

No isolation, just a hard time of the day to find a match.

It’s more difficult to find match on Halo 5 than the MCC
I have also had a hard time finding matches (Japan), especially in my preferred playlist SWAT. Of course I’m using the extended search setting.
Playing in Japan the only play time I have on weekdays is around 9 pm - 1 am here, so 4-8 am PST.
I just started playing again after a 2 month break. Before the break I found SWAT games constantly in that time window, but in the last week or 2 I’ve gotten only 1 SWAT game out of 20+ (30+? I really only care about SWAT) attempts.
I can also not find games for ranked Slayer or Arena, and even Quick Play and Fiesta are only 50%, and sometimes 0% (though last night I hit a good streak with those 2).
Yet I see streamers streaming on twitch. Did region separation get more strict? Personally I’d rather play laggy games than not at all.
I’d say some ranked playlists, especially higher tier, you’re not going to find matches, either people are grinding in social or on MCC or other games. I suck now, and I can’t grind anymore, so social and warzone for me.
