I’ve seen A LOT of threads about the lag in MM, but I haven’t seen 343 answer to any of them. Dedicated servers are not gonna happen, and I’m not sure they can’t add regional features like in previous games. Has 343 said anything about looking into the problem? Over the past week or so I feel like the lag has gotten really bad, and don’t even get me started on the host quit situation the black screen gets me so damn crazy.
I’m really not here to complain, I’m really just asking if 343 has mentioned this problem, or has any plan to some what fix it.
Before you people say it’s my connection I have 60mbs down, 20mbs up and I have a ASUS black knight router with the QoS manually setup for my entire network. I was a Jr network admin for a VoIP company for a long time. So lets not go down the “it’s your connection” or “have you tried this” road.
343 continues to make minor changes to their net code, but the bigger problem is the rapidly falling population. This week the peak players fell below 60,000 on some days. With that being the case you are going to struggle to find good connections. Your connection options sound amazing, so other than playing at peak times there is not much left to do, but wait and hope they write better net code in the future.

Yeah I’ve had enough of it, combined with the 360’s last century architecture its just frustrating.
MS have the resources to provide servers this is something they need to consider before throwing out the next game.

If EA can afford servers for Battlefield, why can’t Microsoft?
I found lag only in the new map pack… But not as lagy as it was at the beginning.
I’d really like to ask 343 why I don’t pull host most of the time. I pay for faster Internet, but it doesn’t get me anything at the end of the day. I do need it for several other things, but I should be pulling host.
Lag happens with players you have bad connection with, they can’t do anything about that.
It’s just the connection you or they have.
