i was told to do this and wait and see what happens?

343 have decided to unlock those specializations two per week commencing in 1 weeks time.
Until then you most likely will have to wait.
343 botched it up and screwed over many folks. You aren’t the only one.
You wont be getting a code, and you no longer need one
Starting next Monday, 21st, 343i are unlocking the remaining 6 specialisations for everyone now, with two next week, then two more on the 28th and the final 2 on the 4th February
So, you just have to wait one more week…arent 343i kind
The early specializations were only for people who purchased the Limited Edition - everyone knew this and everyone chose their purchase.
After the release 343i rewarded some players who played shortly after release with early specialization access - this would be the code you are referring to. If you don’t have one by now, you won’t be getting one.
However the rest of the specializations will be released shortly. See the following for the schedule:

> Specializations: Pioneer and Pathfinder Specializations unlocked for all players.

> Week of 1/28
> Specializations: Engineer and Stalker Specializations unlocked for all players.
