Can someone please explain to me how Challenges like "Stop 5 killing sprees" is a valid Event Challenge, or a valid Challenge at all?

The Tenrai challenges will always be swapped for another Tenrai challenges and the non-Tenrai challenges for other non-Tenrai challenges ofcourse. That makes complete sence, because otherwise you might or might not get the Tenrai event completed with just the luck of your swaps.

Just my luck to get a couple of killjoy medals before that challenge has been rotated in for me

It is a challenge of a Diceroll.

Luck, not skill, is required. Hence why they should give you 5000exp

Touché. Fair response and fair counter-argument. I cede to your argument.

Yeah - what a lame ultimate challenge too
when I reached it. I bowed my head and gasped a sigh!

Well glad it’s like this now because during the first one I swapped a tenrai challenge and the I got wasnt for the event.

It happens sorta at random, but sprees and killjoys happen most matches on both sides.

If you get a dud loadout, scan the ground.

Idk what else to tell you, like they’re challenges đŸ€· y’all basically invalidate everything except for:

“Breath once while in a match”

“Shoot a gun that uses bullets”

“Press A or [Spacebar] 5 times while running Windows”

“Eat 1 Pringles chip during a day that ends in Y”

Sure. Only took like 20 games.

I have one left to go and I haven’t even tried to do it.

It can’t be that difficult

It is a valid challenge because it challenges players to test the stress of their gritted teeth. If they shatter, GOOD NEWS, 343 still hates you.

It’s not about the difficulty it’s about the fact that it relies on randomness and even rewards poor play. I had a 10 game winning streak where I got no Killjoys because we were stomping our opponents. I’ve probably gotten 10 this week, but just because it’s possible doesn’t mean it not a bad challenge.

Just don’t forget about the overwatch challenge that still exist

it’s not a challenge. it’s just a bar to fill up with numbers to trigger the completion instinct people have, to get them to play. it’s basically just work, like the other challenges, with the intention to keep people playing, to increase the likelihood of them spending money in the store

Any challenge that relies on the specific actions or player behaviour/skill of other players is a no-go.

I got tired of the back smack challenges and swapped them out in the hopes of something “better”
after a few refreshes, I finally got the simple “get X number of kills” challenge and completed the event.

Plus, you don’t know if they have exactly 4 kills and you have to hope you spawn with a good weapon and be the one on your team that can respawn and get back in time to get the killjoy.

Literally logged into waypoint for the first time in years just to complain about this, the killjoy ultimate. Worst weekly ever, basically chance based and playing well makes it harder!?!? total BS. Whoever at 343 thought it was a good idea is an idiot. takes only a couple matches to realise “Oh crap this is pretty broken”. There are a number of threads about it and ima be posting on them all. This is actually my first whinge to 343.
