Can someone please explain to me how Challenges like "Stop 5 killing sprees" is a valid Event Challenge, or a valid Challenge at all?

I hated the way the Winter Contigency event was runned. It was just so boring. I much prefer doing a ton of challenges and unlocking stuff at the pace I want like in the Tenrai event.

That being said, I didn’t mind the WC event because I like that they’re trying different things. Mix things up a little.

I wanted to expose different opinions/POV out there. Not everyone hates it.

The second I saw “Stop 5 enemy killing sprees” I used a Challenge Swap right there. I got “Play 6 Fiesta matches” which is enormously better. Stopping 1 killing spree is a pain enough as it is, since you’re more likely one of the other 3 players will beat you to it. Definitely a scam to get you to use and buy more swaps.

Yup. Dumbest way to rank up anything in Infinite. Gotta rely on unreliable challenges.

Such as win 3 fiesta matches with randoms who continually quit.

Realistically. Getting 5 killjoys within 7 days is very doable. With that said, this is a bad challenge due to it being tied more to someone else’s skills than your own.

It’s literally payback for me complaining about having to get five killing spree‘s in fiesta and the pain it was. 343 thinks were all a joke.

Enlighten us that if you can do it anyone can?
I doubt I’d be lying if I said not a single person cares that you got them done.

Pretty much all the challenges they pruned the first week, were doable in a week. Sniping a driver from a vehicle is doable in a week. Or getting kills on wraiths etc.

Want to know how many I got since last time? Seven matches, one killjoy.
Luckily, I had one challenge to get a single killjoy, completed it, got a rank up and a swap. Swapped out the 5 killjoys one and need four double kills. Got one then headed for bed.

But congrats on not understanding what people see as an issue with the challenge, despite having it explained.
While you were crying about others crying, I cracked an idea or two on 3D model mechanics for printing and got progress done on a board game. No, no one cares.

Actually, this is untrue, because you have to gamble for Launch Site, the only 4v4 map that has a Wraith, or play BTB, which is insanely broken.

Both of those ensure that the challenges are possible to do within a week. Getting to complete them is an entirely different thing.

Those challenges were pruned for a reason, and I’m of the opinion that the 5 Killjoy challenge, maybe even the 1 killjoy, belong to that same category.

What’s challenging about a green medal? Infinite has 4 medal rarities. Normal, Heroic, Legendary and Mythic. A killjoy is a normal medal. It’s on the same level a back smack, or Rifleman. A double kill is ranked higher.

Let’s look at this from a 1v1 perspective. To get a killjoy in a 1v1, a player would be losing 1-5 or greater. That, or choking away their lead by dying 5 times in a row. It’s like H4’s “Comeback Kill”.

A killjoy isn’t some rare, highly sought after medal that players post online to show off. It’s barely an accomplishment. More of the game just letting you know that you killed the SOB that’s been ruining your day. Halo Reach’s feed used to announce Killing Sprees (Infinite only announces mythic medals Running Riot and up) and also Killjoys. It was a sort of game update to let players know who’s doing well and who ended the spree. Honestly I’d bet most games where a player gets 2 or more killjoys is probably one that they lost.

This is why H:I needs commendations back.

It’s really not a matter of I DID IT SO CAN YOU, it’s a matter of why should I do it in the first place.

It’s really a problem because:

  1. It detracts from enjoyment, or goal of the objective, aka winning by killing more opponents.
  2. You have to fight with 3 other players for the same progression
  3. It’s too random

Honestly if people uses the I DID IT SO CAN YOU excuse, I sincerely pray they have to roll a dice everytime they take a breath to see if they can breathe out or not. Then roll another die for breathing in. And repeat.

I had a challenge swap and used it on this challenge. It got replaced with another tenrai event challenge to play 6 games of fiesta.

One way to get out of it but 343 your challenges are complete BONK
