Fiesta is about random loadouts, and the chances an enemy is getting a Killing Spree is just as random as you yourself getting a killing spree.
Sprees are so difficult to hold in Fiesta due to how Power weapons are always in rotation, leading to 1 shot kills which you cannot prevent.
This is supposed to be an Event Challenge, so why not have Progression tied to playing the Event mode rather than forcing players to do the 12 Trials of Hercules in the Event mode?
343 did Winter Contingency so well, encouraging players to fork out some time everyday to earn a new reward, but Tenrai just sets out to torture players. When I said I want to earn rewards, I don’t mean I want to earn it in a condition where I have to race against the clock before Event period is over doing ridiculous tasks which slowly drain my patience and love for the game.
343 just make us play 1 Fiesta per day for the last Tenrai week for the love of god. That or just fire your entire Challenge designing team, because they obviously never played games in order to cook up such methods of torture.
"Fun" is a mandatory module to passing game development, 343 and Halo Infinite gets a huge stinking "F"
The longer infinite is out the more ridiculous the challenges are becoming. 343 are just proving the age auld saying.
In theory Yes
In practice No
But 343 would find a way to make both answers No because who keeps coming up with these impossible challenges. They clearly know of halo but never played a game before.
No challenges should be completed by sheer luck, or random events, or by other players. Still to this day I dont know how 343 can get something thats so obviously simple and get it wrong.
It’s not a valid challenge. They want to spend your challenge swaps even on “free events” to milk as much of those store sales (in this case the extra challenge swaps) as possible.
This is probably one of the worst challenges because of what you said, sprees are somewhat unlikely in Fiesta.
That said, I did manage to get a Rampage Perfection once in a game, which is hilarious to say the least. There was a lot of sword camping and looted rockets on my part lmao
Aww man your so right with this. Last event it was to earn kill sprees and all people did was camp with the hammer/sword, because of that, this is how people think fiesta is supposed to played like. Fiesta back in the day was a wacky fun game with no stress or competitiveness. Throw in some challenges and fiesta is a terrible game lol
Yea you’d get 5 kills and be like well I must fall on my own sword in an honorable way and pray that I can sprint back to my dead body so you can pick the sword back up
It’s not about how long we have, it’s about how random it is to even get it.
If it’s random to this level, you literally could miss it even if you play 12 hours a day if the stars do not align for you.
How bout I give you a challenge: if you get Stop 5 Sprees in Fiesta Challenge, don’t reroll it.
Then grind for it. It’ll give us an actual statistic if someone actually tries the challenge and then we can bring our argument to 343 to remove such RNG or frustrating Challenges. Let us know how many games on average you need to play to achieve the Challenge, and how many hours it took to achieve. You will be a hero.
And what happens if in that week, I can’t get a killjoy medal? You know, because its something that depends heavily on what an enemy(ies) does and if my allies kill them first instead of just what I can do?
Stuff like this and “Splatter an enemy with an object fired by the Repulsor” are fine for say long-term, specific achievements but don’t fit well in a weekly challenge system where the challenges are largely how you progress in a BP.
I do have that challenge I’ve played maybe 10 games today? You can check my record. I have four out of the five already. I’m not like an onyx player or nothing. I guess I’m kind of middle of the pack but that’s not that hard to do really.
That’s luck.
An extremely random environment like Fiesta is a dice roll wether or not you’ll get a Killjoy.
Either no one will get that far due to all power weapons in play, or there’s a shortage of them and the person who do get a killing spree has it for a reason, and isn’t stopped as others aren’t spawning with good weapons.
Getting that challenge at the start is also down to luck.
I’ve got one to get five killjoys, not active at the moment, and then another to get one Killjoy, also not active.
But wait, there’s more.
I need to get 15 kills with the chaingun on a warthog which could get active before any of those, and that depends on BTB not bugging out and having an actually competent driver, along with actually getting on the damn thing and grinding the hell out of it.
At the moment, I also need 20 kills in FFA, a mode I normally avoid like the plague.
Let’s not either forget about the Ultimate Challenge which could be anything.
And so what?
Not everyone has your luck. Or the time to squeeze into grinding like you do.
This isn’t an argument you can win.
If your argument is to “just grind it, you have a whole week” then our argument is that we don’t have that kind of time to grind everyday, for a week.
For this challenge, it would probably be better to have it be “stop 5 killing sprees in FFA” Mostly because this will make it skill based, while also making it be random. But yeah, this challenge is dumb and essentially impossible. Though, it would be a decent weekly ultimate. I think as a weekly ultimate it would need 100 XP for each KillJoy
Yeah it’s actually a stupid challenge. It’s the last one I got and I plan on using a challenge swap because literally any other Fiesta challenge is easier and more reliable than getting that many killjoys
