Can someone explain why bumper jumper is preferred

I’ve read around here that bumper jumper is preferred by “better” players,
Now can anyone explain why?
Thanks

You don’t have to take your thumb off the stick…

Because there’s no need to remove your thumbs from the analog sticks for the most important functions (shoot, grenade, jump, melee)

Makes it more possible to aim and evade well at the same time.

What he said.

I dont have the elite controller but I can tell in some situations where that time delay when I move my thumb could be used to do something else and would have changed the moment I was in for my benefit.

Not what he said.

I’m trying to adapt to Bumper Jumper, but I have been sticking with default for so long that I am terrible when switching to it. Although I am slowly getting the hang of it. The upside is that I can jump while in firefights more fluidly, so yeah there is that. Sprinting feels a bit odd when not the left analog stick, but that’s about it for me.

You have to keep playing with it. It takes some getting used to but if you keep going back to default (assuming because you’re losing/dying to people you know you wouldn’t die to if you were playing default haha) you’ll never get used to it.

Play something non-serious like Warzone for about a day and you should be more than used to it. I got used to Bumper Jumper in Halo 3 and I can’t play anything else now besides Helljumper now.

But yeah OP, the benefit of Bumper Jumper and Helljumper is that you can basically jump/maneuver at the same time. That brief moment where you take your thumb off of the aim can really be the difference in some fights. But not every pro player plays BJ. Do whatever makes you comfortable.

I spend $2.00 /gal this morning on the way to work. Never took a thumb of the stick all thx to bumper Jumper…
