Hey everyone,
I really enjoy Halo 5, finished the campaign a couple of days ago am playing some multiplayer now. In general I’m quite happy about the entire package, but as soon as I started the campaign, I noticed something was off; the aiming. I’ve seen plenty written on this already, but the responses on it are polarizing it seems. Some think it’s not responsive enough or it’s better than it’s ever been.
In previous Halo games I would use a sensitivity of one or two points above default and that was fine. Now in Halo 5 I use setting ‘4’, because default is just too slow. But here’s the thing: I think 4 is too sensitive, especially while aiming down sights. What happens often in combat heavy situations is that I aim and start janking the reticule all over the place before I find my target; I’m having a very hard time stabilizing at close to mid range. I especially feel the aim down sights suffers a lot from this.
In previous Halo games it seemed to me that ADS was a bit less sensitive that from the hip, but now they seem level. To be frank, I outright hate this aspect of an otherwise totally enjoyable game.
I am wondering, is this all just in my head, or is the ADS in particular much, much harder than previous titles?
