uhm, when you are on fire, and the surface of your tank is like an unsealed fusion coil… yeah, smallarms fire tends to blow you up.

its also the same reason why a spartan can survive an shot to the chest from an sniper designed to wreck military equipment.

4 people shooting a damaged wraith with DMRs is obviously going to blow it up. Tank doesn’t mean invincible.
