Can someone explain these other ships?

It looks like at some point in the development there was supposed to be more than 1 Infinity class ship either that or they’re something else. Like those ships in the Final Stage and on those Missions in Spartan Ops.

During the Spartan Ops cutscenes they were ejected from the inside of Infinity. My guess is that they’re a part of the Infinity’s arsenal. Whenever things seem like they’re gonna get a little crazy, I’m sure the Captain deploys them to help out. Just think of the Infinity as a Modern day Aircraft Carrier in Space!

okie dokie.

Those were just Frigates, same class as Forward Unto Dawn. The ships in the concept art could be anything, but they are certainly not Infinity class vessels. That was relatively early concept art, so those ships most likely either became the mystery ships on Midnight or were ejected from the game entirely.

I’m more concerned on how there seems to be multiple Infinity’s in the Keyes terminal from CEA.

I can’t tell if that’s early concept for Infinity. They could be considered Frigates, but I just don’t know.

I’d like to think that humanity would produce more Infinity class ships in the future. We could definitely use a bunch of them for the upcoming Flood invasion, but building one took a long time and almost half the UNSC budget.

The Halcyons seem to be the Standard ship now for the UNSC, all re-fit like the Pillar of Autumn, and Charon-Class Frigates seem to be the main support vessel.

Either way, the Halcyons in the 2517 Configuration with upgraded Armament were tough as nails, and faster to build. Churning out a couple of them would be much more effective than building a second infinty, which is essentially a flying brick with guns (I mean, they all are really, but the Infinity has no maneuverability at all. At least the Autumn could do Barrel Rolls.)

Those aren’t Infinity’s, Keyes most likely never even knew Infinity existed.
