Whenever I watch someone quickscope it looks as though they scope then shoot so fast that there wasn’t actually any time to alter their aim after scoping, they pretty much scope and shoot at the same time. So how does quickscoping help them? How is it any easier than no scoping?
Quick scoping has no advantage in Reach what so ever.

That’s what I thought.

As with any scoped weapon, it has a tighter spread when scoped in. While it is very miniscule, the Sniper does still have spread.

By spread do you mean the bullet has delay? As in the shot isn’t instant/hitscan
the only time i quick scope is when i jump round a corner then i quickly try and get the reticule on their head.
There is little to no benfit to quickscoping in reach, there is however a ton of benefit for knowing how to noscope.
Wrong game, kids.
It’s only to make you look good.
I cant snipe in the first place. Im terrible with the sniper in reach for some reason.

By spread, I mean the bullet can land anywhere within the reticle.
It is something very stupid that COD players do (in COD) and they think they are pro just because they do it.

Lets assume you are looking at someone with the sniper out and they are 60 feet away. If they move from side to side, your reticle won’t move at all; it’s too far for the autoaim to kick in. Now if you scope in 5x on them, if they move left or right, your reticle should also move a little. Under scope, the autoaim kicks in a bit.
Quick scoping takes advantage of this. You swing your reticule towards a target and scope in when it gets close. If your reticle is close enough, the autoaim should kick in the moment you click the right thumbstick. This extra bit of help coupled can, if you get used to it, be used to make those lightning quick scopes. This works better in Halo 3, as the effect is almost negligible in Reach.
An excellent example of this can be found 46 seconds in to this video:

Halo quick scoping really only works when you’ve suddenly shifted to a predetermined spot in your reflexes and find the enemy head within half an inch of your zoom in for Reach. Besides that, you can’t really find any Halo quick scoping…
Most of my snipes are quickscopes. It’s just how I prefer to snipe.

Unless, you mean clicking the button and hoping your lined up and then firing hoping to kill them in one shot quick scope does not exist in Halo. CoD when you scoped you were lined up with the enemy and you could blindly fire knowing it was lined up, not necessarily in Halo.

Good against AI’s one thing, good against the living…Something Else.
There is not point. Quickscoping is something the COD people have to deal with.
It’s easier than a no scope sometimes. If you know where to aim you can do a “quickscope check” and if there’s a head there, crack it-
