Can someone explain specializations?

Ok, i dont want to seem like a noob, but i don’t quite get specs. I know you can specialize in one at level 50, but once you master more than one, can you switch between them? Say i master wetwork and pioneer, can i switch between the two without having to re-master them? Any info greatly would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you have to master one before you can start mastering another. The mod you get from mastering it can be switched whenever you want though, including in the middle of a game.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

A Specialization is pretty much a ‘‘Prestige’’ , but you don’t lose anything , each of them have 10 ranks to go through , their length is as long as SR-40 to SR-50, when you complete one of them , you will unlock some stuff for your loadouts , such as a Tactical Package/Support Upgrade and other stuff related to the armory. There are 8 Specialization in the game , resulting in 130 SR Ranks , 343i said that there might be a surprise or two if you get to Max Rank (SR-130) , the surprise is still unknown to us as far as I know.

Oh and you can only start a Specialization when you hit the original Max Rank , SR-50 , and when you enlist in any of the 8 , or 2 if you have the Standard Edition of Halo 4 , you can’t switch to a new one until you are done with the one you’re working on.

Hope this helps !

This, to add to this max Level in Halo 4 is 130.

Thats with all 8 specializations. Limited edition copies come with all 8 from the beggining.

Regular copies (As long as you play the game before November 20) will get a email with a code giving them early access to the Specializations as well.

If you get the game after November 20 you have to wait until 343 unlocks them other then the starting 2.

I believe people who bought the standard edition have to wait until the end of the month before they get all of them unlocked. Otherwise, what is the point of the Limited Edition?

Having all 8 right off the bat is the same as only having 2, but because you played when the game come out, you unlock the others. Thats a clear, strong slap in the face to people who bought the limited edition. Hell, i’m still bummed out at the fact that the limited edition gets an AR camo… Thats useless considering i never use the AR lol.

Limited Edition buyers should get a special helmet, just like how the FOTUS helmet can only be obtained by getting the Halo 4 xbox bundle (which is also f*cked because thats the one helmet i was looking forward to lol)

Basically your specialization grows in power as you advance in it much like better weapons in call of duty. So unless you rank up get ready to be at a disadvantage. I hope 343 creates a classic playlist where you fight for power ups. This whole specialization deal sounds bad.

If you didn’t know , there is a playlist called ‘‘Team Slayer Pro’’ , it’s the closest you get from Team Classic at Launch for now. It contains :
3 Loadouts
Assault Rifle , Battle Rifle and DMR as Primary Weapons
Magnum as Secondary Weapon
1 Frag Grenade
Ability to pick up grenades from dead bodies
Movement is a little bit faster
No Radar
You cannot use your own loadout
It’s 4 Vs 4

Yeah fairly sure specilizations just unlock various weapons, skins, abilities ect. for you and once you’ve completed it you can start unlocking everything from another specilization. You can’t really switch back on specilizations as you’ve already unlocked all the features within it.

Therefore, at SR130, the highest specilization level, you are virtually doning all specilizations at the same time as you have access to all the equipment from all specilizations. Is that right?

Specializations

Thanks guys, very helpful!
