> -Spartan Abilities do not mean Armor Abilities
> -Spartan Abilities are new mechanics such as Dual Wielding or Sprint
> -No AAs in Halo 5
> -Beta is December 27th, 2014 as confirmed here
From what i remember AAs were halo reach where you could use them at the start of the match like jetpack but you could replace it with another in the game from dead players. but in Halo 4 they became SAs where you could choose in your loadouts and i don’t think you could pick them up. so what do they mean by this for Halo 5, just wondering? btw I apologize if I got anything wrong on AAs and SAs messed up or what they are just trying to get clarification on what they meant to say.
AAs in Halo 4 were still just AAs, you just couldn’t pick them up on the map because they were in your loadout. SAs are base player traits. They work the same way dual wielding does, you simply press a button and it works. You don’t need to find them on the map or select them for your loadout. They are simply part of the permanent button layout from now on. Other than that, we know nothing else.
okay so similar to AAs of Halo 4 version but work more liek the flashlight in the Halo 1 n 2 basically? not sure if its set by loadout or you choose. interesting to fi8nd out more.
We have very limited knowledge on these Spartan abilities. Other than that they are not AAs and are described to be a feature as dual wielding and hijacking are. Whatever they are, I hope they avoid making them too defensive. That was the huge problem for me with AAs.
I’d say its more like sprint in halo 4. It’s just there. everyone can do it. The idea is to make the game more competitive. They are moving away from the stupid add ons that made halo gimmicky in reach and 4. I for one am so happy about this!!
There may be things like jetpack etc, but they will be standard across the board (i.e… everyone will have them) so it is more balanced (or at least thats how i took it).
I’m gonna say think Destiny’s Guardian ability’s. Everyone has one, but you gain the use of it though kills or via power ups on the map like OV and Camo in Halo’s of old. In fact they just might be that, on map one time use pick ups, the new version of Camo, and OV.

ya that makes sense so like use the Dpad to use 4 SA that are on it maybe. ok cool.

Oh please not be like killstreaks from cod. i can understand halo 4 points but not based entirely on kills that would suck lolz.
Well if they incorporate OS and Camo they should do it kinda, not entirely, like Crysis 2 did where you can use them like that, tap on the dpad to activate the camo , which is limited, than the other side you can use overshield which is limited. and before anyone goes off on OP remember how strong the increased shield thing on Crysis thing was in MP and you will know it wasn’t OP, you could still die by a 1 hit to the back lol
I think at this point I’m just gonna hold out until more info becomes available…
