Why is everyone hating on the Bloom, Elites not being in Halo4 and also the ranking system i’m so confused.
If u call urself a true halo fan why not welcome and try these changes before you begin to judge a game do not base ur experience off previews and trailers against a game that hasn’t come out yet
right?
With bloom you lose accuracy, naturally some people are not fans of inaccurate weapons.
Can’t say about elites, not up to date with halo 4.
The ranking system in reach is more based off time playing the game than skill level. An inheritor is necessary good but has played a very long time, so when in for example BTB the teams are divided the skill level between teams can be incredibly unbalanced.
So
BLOOM= Inaccuracy/Inaccurate weapons
Elites= Little Kids Complaining
Ranking System= Offline Boosting, Easy To Achieve (If You Understand)
People Like Just Boost Their Credits To Get It And Have No Skill At All
^Is That The Basics Of What You Mean?
Simply put, people are complaining about the Elites because removing them feels like a step backwards. If you’re fine with their removal, that’s okay, no one is saying you have to care. Those who are unhappy have the right to express their displeasure.
True that but making screenshots dedicated to their so called “saving” isn’t that a tad over the top? I mean forums are to express one’s opinion as i’m doing now but still are they going over the top or not far enough?
I think making a concentrated “movement” (for lack of a better word) is fine. They’re asking for one things, and from what I’ve seen so far, not demanding. I think their approach is fine but it does have the risk of spiralling into something ridiculous. It’s better than the people asking 343 to completely overhaul the gameplay. Chances are, nothing will come of it but they’re free to try.
Thanks for taking the time to help me
and thanks also for helping me get my mind around all these things
Much appreciated

Bloom itself is a highly competitive feature and not one that is simple for casuals. However, Bungie implemented it and others poorly. Which is why many of the new ideas for Halo 4 are being dismissed because many don’t want another Reach; a bunch of good ideas implemented badly without any regard to balance.
As for Elites, it sucks for those who have clans based around them. Not much of a problem for those who don’t use Elites but still…
A new ranking system will encourage players to keep improving themselves (and in turn keep playing the game). A nice mix of social and ranked playlists is what is needed. I am not saying 1-50 or derpy Arena(both have been confirmed to NOT return for Halo 4) but something new. With a population and good trueskill system to back it.

No problem. Always nice to talk to a reasonable person on the internet

I despise this so much. “Hey if you want to be a high rank you have to stuff hours into our game.”
In its simplicity, you can chalk it up to a “fear of the unknown”. People grow comfortable with what they have been familiar with, and when that all goes away, their reaction is to, well, express their frustration at it.
The Elites have been here since Halo 2, so I want them back. No amount of Spartan customization can compare to the greatness of Elites!

But there are two ranking systems, so you still get your skill based one.
