can some one tell me how exactly quitting hurts your arena division ranking?

i just want to know how badly it hurts the division rating. is it more or less than a loss?

I believe one of the in lobby messages says “Quitting from Arena games seriously impacts your rating.”

I’m guessing quitting doesn’t make it go over 9,000, so…it seriously negativly effects it!

Yeah, just don’t quit. I’d rather have my whole team quit, go negative 20 spawn trapped by MLG try hards than quit, because Spartans do not back down.

Edit: Oh well, shoulda said so in the OP! Lagging out IS the same unfortunately, so…maybe your overall rating dropped by 50 or so.

yes it matters. i want to know how badly im being screwed over if and when i happen to lag out, or am forced in to an unwinnable game due to other quitters

how much of a percentage drop in division would that be though?

I can’t say, I’m never good enough to see my individual percentile, I think. ^^’

Maybe Halocharts has the answer. Dig around there. Look up your Arena stats.

I’d have to get a 1% Onyx rating (easy) and then quit out of a game to see the result. I’d suspect that only the Bungie Reach management team would know the exact math of it.

i guess ill know the next time my stats update, which should be here in about 5-6 hours where i live
