I’m Gold 6 in SWAT, not too great not too bad. I’ve tried everything in my power to not get paired with higher ranks than I. I’ve changed the search preferences, I’ve brought teammates in of lower ranks, I’ve tried to intentionally lower my rank by dying constantly and quiting/losing, but over and over again I get paired every single game with champions and onyx’s. I haven’t played halo since halo 3 where I was a gen 3 star so I know how to play the game obviously, I’m just trying to get back into the series, but this obnoxious broken matchmaking system is making it really fricken hard to do that. How am I supposed to get better at the game when I’m constantly being paired with people that’ve clearly played a whole lot more than me and I basically get a big “just sit in the corner and don’t move and don’t even try to shoot back, you’ll die less at the end of the game” every single game? IT’S ANNOYING. I can’t find teammates to help me learn, onyx’s and champions want nothing to do with a halo 3 player that’s just mediocre at halo 5 because she hasn’t kept up the series to get used to all this super speed boost jump ultra punch millennial scene rainbow colored gun gaming crap.
If I’m ALWAYS going to get paired with the highest/2nd highest ranks in the game when I’m 4 RANKS BELOW THEM can I just not have a rank? I mean what’s the point, if it’s constantly going to be unbalanced this horribly you might as well throw some new level 1 recruits in there as well right? I mean, when I go 1-20 because I can’t even get out of my own spawn, it’s basically being entirely new to a game getting killed over and over and over and over with no chance at fighting back. Remove my rank, put me against anybody, I guarantee it’d be better than this garbage. Make everything social, ranked isn’t even ranked when your rank apparently doesn’t matter at all when searching for a game.
I swear, this game is seriously just like “oh she wants to die endlessly, she wants a terrible experience returning to halo after she’s been a long time fan of the REAL SERIES made by BUNGIE so she never has to touch one of our games again.” Oh wait, I can always go to firefight right? Because I’m good at killing ai? Nope, half of the teammates are too egocentric to use any of their reqs so 3 players have to do everything for them and they just hop in your scorpions turret (like it does anything for dps against a warden eternal other than give them the kill for being utterly useless).
I just want to get back into halo, play the game, and have fun. That’s too much to ask, I need to get insta killed by an unseen force everytime I decide to take 2 steps forward and I have to not even touch my controller at all because that’d be useless because that’s what the matchmaking system has decided for me. This is really a turn off, I’m actually considering returning the game and giving a middle finger to preordering halo infinite.
Seriously annoyed.
