I feel like promethean weaponry would be much more effective at taking out flood creatures rather than human Covanant, or banished weaponry would, as many of the weapons incinerate its target meaning infected forms couldn’t re-infect dead infected forms. Now if the flood had the chance to physically attack a defenseless promethean such as a knight. crawler, soldier etc. what would happen? could they get infect and we would have incinerating teleporting infected abominations or would they suffer a more technological infected by going “rampant” as apart from knights and maybe soldiers? its hard to imagine the creatures being anything but machines. What do you guys think?
Once again, if you did any research on your own via Halopedia, you would know the answer and stop clogging the forum. The entire point behind Prometheans is that they CAN’T get infected by the Flood because they are entirely robotic and virtual constructs.

I’m fairly sure Prometheans are not robotic. they are hard light, which is why they completely disappear when killed (minus a crawler). Also I did do research, and I wanted to know more how hard it was for a Forerunner knight before the invention of Composers for the flood to infect one… If it was virtually impossible because of the weapons and technology and the flood just had strength in numbers and overpowered them. Unfortunately I only remember a little of the Primordium series (which I’m fairly sure talks about this) and can’t find a synopsis that includes the answer to my question… I only remember Guilty Spark and Didact talking with the “last Precursor” and a few details during the war about the last stand and the Librarian.
If they could turn a Monitor, I could see them turning a Knight/Soldier. Might just take a few decades to convince it.
The major benefit of becoming a Promethean was a resistance to the Flood. So I’d say no. But it would be interesting to see if the Logic Plague could infect a Promethean, since they are essentially a digital construct. My money is on that not being the case, but it would be really cool to see some sort of concept art for a hybrid Promethean/Flood enemy unit. Melding machine and decaying matter could make for some dope screen shots imo.
I don’t see how honestly. I feel like Prometheans are more machine than man.
Promethean constructs are pure machines.
They have zero biological components and are typically run via implanted consciousness (Knights) or AI (Watchers, Crawlers and Soldiers).
They are designed to not be infectable and their weaponry is designed to disintegrate all biomass to remove the possibility of flood infections.
Good examples of that would be the Incineration Cannon which likely is capable of clearing wide areas of potential biomass for the flood to take advantage of.

From Halopedia, which is really where you need to going to do your ‘research’:
"In the endgame of the Forerunner-Flood war, the Ur-Didact converted his Prometheans into machine-based intelligences, known as Knights, by using the Forerunner machine known as the Composer.[4] These constructs, along with the Ur-Didact, survived the activation of the Halo Array, eventually awakening within Requiem and rising to oppose the UNSC in 2557.[5]The mechanical Prometheans are war machines created by the Ur-Didact after his descent into madness near the end of the Forerunner-Flood war. The Didact viewed these constructs as a novel and effective strategy to fight the Flood without risk of biological infection."
The prometheans being machines were incapable of being infected by the flood because they have no nervous system for the flood to latch onto. I’d assume that they are also immune to the logic plague due to a lack in processing power. The prometheans are not smart AI, they don’t have opinions or do anything outside the book, they know how to shoot things and that’s about it. Smart AI are susceptible to the logic plague only because of their capability for learning.
Promethians immunity to the Flood is the only reason they were created
The prometheans (well the mechanical ones at least) were created to be soldiers who cannot get infected to flood infection. But if you want to split a few hairs, maybe to an extent via logic plague.
In a word; no. They can’t.
