Also, can players be kicked for inactivity?
I played H3 this morning and for over half my games, there was at least one idiot on my team that were either inactive the whole game or they quit early.
In my opinion, I think players that quit on purpose should get -500 XP (special code will be able to tell if they pushed the power button), players booted for inactivity should get -750 XP and team killers should get -1000 XP upon being booted. If you get another penalty consecutively, you should get the deduction for the current penalty PLUS -250 XP x number of times consecutively penalized.
If you get over -2400 XP deductions in one day you will only be able to play with the same people in matchmaking until you get at least +50 XP for five games in a row. Also, players shouldn’t be depromoted, but it’ll take them a LONG time to be promoted in they persist in getting penalized. Essentially this will leave no incentives for people get themselves penalized. Even if they are a “griefer”, they’ll only be able to play with other ones a majority of the time so most people would get no satisfaction out of that.
That’s pretty much a full proof system except for that one guy that wants to have the worst score on the leaderboards or some griefer that tries to exploit the betrayal system. There’s always the possibility of a person unplugging their console to get out of a game without being penalized, but I doubt their console will last very long if they keep doing it.
And for joining a game in progress, I was referring to all matchmaking games.
First of all, don’t bump threads. There may be a reason nobody has replied to it, believe it or not.
Secondly, it’s difficult to even attempt to understand what you’re saying if you just throw number out there. -500 what? Experience? Spartan Points? Lollipops? See where I’m going with this?
Thirdly, it’s been confirmed that there is a Join-in-Progress feature, so you should probably do some research before writing a thread next time.
Fourth, I still don’t understand what your numbers mean. “…until you get at least +50 for five games in a row.” That sentence makes absolutely no sense.
He’s saying that -# or +# means the amount of experience points added or subtracted from their rank progress depending on what activity they are doing in-game. Here’s a example of one, if I were to teamkill my teammate, I would receive -1000 XP once the game is finished or if I am inactive in-game then I would get -750 XP. This is a great idea, although there could be some disadvantages aswell like people accidently shooting or killing their teammate or having to do something in reality real quick and then, notice that they are kicked from the game. You get what I mean?

It’s obvious that I meant XP since I mentioned penalties… So I don’t see where YOU are going with this. Are you implying you have poor deductive reasoning?
“…until you get at least +50 for five games in a row.” Obviously each time you earn XP you get +5, +10 and etc. In that particular sentence, +50 means accumulated XP. That’s really not that hard to understand.

In-game you would get an XP penalty of -10 for team killing. You would only get a -1000 XP penalty if you got booted from the game for team killing. You would be eligible for getting booted if you team killed one player 4 times, two players 3 times each, three players 2 times each or four players. It would be really difficult to get accidentally booted that way.
