Can people on forums get a exclusive skin/emblem:/

I remember when Bungie used to give you a Bungie emblem on you tag in game if you linked your account to their site :confused: on halo2.
It was kin of cool to see people in game and you knew they were on the site.

I remember stuff like that in reach, not in halo 2 though. (Although I wasnā€™t really browsing bungie.net at the time)

You get an emblem when you use the halo channel app on xbox so that is sort of like that.

I remember the Bungie nameplate, but I never used it cause I didnā€™t think it was cool at the time.

I forgot about the nameplates in Reach. I thought that was a cool little touch. I always liked having ODST on my nameplate, especially when wearing ODST armor.

Actually when you first log into the Halo forums with your Xbox account you get rewarded with your first badges.
A solution to this idea, what if someone had to have at least 5 forums posts for this emblem/skin?

Then I think weā€™d see a big spike in spam. Maybe people who reach Spartan rank on the forums get an emblem, or the badges we could get on the forums also unlock skins and stuff for us in-game.

Never understand why people cared about pre-made emblems, Iā€™m surprised 343i donā€™t just allow custom emblems instead. Certainly be more interesting to see custom made emblems instead of seeing most reusing the same emblems over, over in H5ā€¦itā€™s part of the reason why I love custom profile images.

That would be pretty cool for anyone over a certain rank in the forums to get a special emblem. The only issue you would have is more people posting nonsense than they already do just to rank up.

Thatā€™s what I was thinking too, I thought of someone just coming on here, finding a thread and posting just for the emblem. Spartan rank is a LONG way away. It took me a while to get to my rank ODST, what about the rank before mine, MARINE- ONYX?

My goal is just to get to ODST on waypoint, but I donā€™t spam.

Anyways it would have been pretty cool and youā€™d probably see less in game if it was but letā€™s say that the UNSC and ODST weapon skins were only achieved after you made it to those ranks on Waypoint. For Spartan they could have used something MJOLNIR themed or what if you unlocked an armor, that is only unlock-able once making it to Spartan here on HaloWaypoint.

Some waypoint specific emblems sounds interesting; Iā€™m not sure what they could be thoughā€¦I suppose they could link them to the forum badges if they ever brought those back in full force.

Perhaps it could be a literal waypoint marker or something. Hell, it could even be the little notification flag thing. All I know is that whatever it is, it shouldnā€™t be ties to posting because of how that could incite spam.

There is so much that can go wrong with custom emblems. What was it Blops 2 that had all those letā€™s just say ā€œadult imagesā€ā€¦ yea I donā€™t want that in my halo.
