I’m trying to play this on my pc with an xbox one controller. When I go to “Options&Careers>Settings” and when I moved the selection for the button layout over from “universal” to “bumper Jumper”, “recon” or whatever. The game tells me that something isn’t mapped and needs to have a hotkey and doesn’t let me save the controls. The message “One or more actions are not bound to a key. (HALO 2, HALO 3, HALO 3:0DST, HALO 4)” . However when I went to check the keybinds all the buttons were mapped to a key for the mouse and keyboard (on the controller, I have no idea how it wouldn’t be assigned). Also this is a fresh install of both steam and Halo MCC on a Windows 10 machine. please help.
Figured it out… I think. I just had to reset the controls to default and then try again. My issue I believe is that when I hit “accept” I also applied it to all the games in the series which borked the game a little causing the whole problem. my recommend is that 343 takes away this block and just let the players figure it out on their own or keep the notification up but let the player progress and actually save the settings rather than be forced to use whatever is on default (because one key can’t be mapped?). But thats just my opinion.
