Can mountain men play this game Offline?

Say I’m a Sasquatch living in remote lands with nothing but food, water, gasoline, a generator, shelter, 2 HDTVs, 2 Xbox Ones (straight out the box), and 2 physical copies of Halo 5. and every type of cable wire that ever existed. What could me and my hairy friend expect to enjoy in Halo 5 offline?

if you have every cable than surely you have one long enough that it could supply you with internet via ethernet cable.

More like he should have a fiber connection atleast if he has every cable haha

Solo campaign only. There is no lan support unfortunately.

Even better. Maybe Google will even help out and lay some Google Fiber.

Did MS ever give an explanation for stripping what has been a basic function of computers since ever besides “-Yoink- you, pay me”?

No profit sadly for them to do that, unless there is really thousands of mountain men or Sasquatch’s needing it.

Our nearest ISP central office is 10,000 miles away in the land of the orcs. Our longest cable is 25ft. No satellite above our side of the planet either.

I assume there are probably some minute technological benefits to no LAN support, but personally I think it’s a step in the wrong direction. Gears of War Ultimate edition managed to get LAN support which makes me hopefully to see LAN support come back to Halo one day.

I’m sorry OP, but offline only options that we know about at the moment is Solo campaign. It might be possible to play custom games or forge offline, but it would seem very lonely.

What?! Gears has lan support?! Halo is dropping the ball. Lan has always been a crucial part of Halo…

You’re going to need a lot of extension cables.

If you have no internet, then how are you on this?

I have a question: is your hairy friend a bear you wrestled and subsequently befriended?

A public library in the east. We hiked for 3 days to post this topic. We lost our little Jimmy to a bear attack on the way too.

No, but we were attacked by a bear on the way to the library we used to post this topic.

Depends if you gave the sasquatch his beef jerky.

We will trade 3 metric tons of beef jerky for one Firefight mode. We will meet in Forge World at sundown.
