Drop pod in November- season 3 has been canceled.
You can expect season 4 in 2024
I agree with this. The damage is done.
Halo infinite SHOULD get better! And become a pretty good game. The problem is, how long will that take? A year? 3 years? Longer?? People won’t care anymore, heck, tons don’t now. Sure the odd person will come back and play every now and then, even I will but overall unfortunately the damage is done.
My prediction is Infinite will have a very small, but stable population going forward. People outside of north America will definitely have problems getting games and/or balance ones (I know they do now) I also think after a few years of seeing how things are, 343I/MS will abandon this whole dumb 10 year plan thing.
It’s sad what’s happened to Halo. It really is.
At least cyberpunk was playable. I finished the game on Xbox with almost zero issues. But comparing a single player game to a live service is two different things. Cyberpunk was complete at launch, just had bugs.
There’s no denying that there has been significant damage done to this game, but there’s always the chance of players returning if the game manages to fix majority of its problems.
It’s simple cause and effect. Satify player demands and they’ll come back.
Gonna say, “That’s a no for me dawg.” Unless another studio thats compitent and can fix this mess. Halo is as toasty as that bread i forgot about yesterday in the toaster…
For the sake of the franchise I hope it doesn’t.
Something gargantuan has to force microsofts hand, else they’ll continue with 343’s terrible practices.
These are all great features mentioned but they should have launched with the game or at the very least cross core customization should have been a thing from the beginning.
Halo 2 had one of the most stressful developments for a game in all of the series and it still had more features than Infinite.
It is more likely Season 3 will be delayed again with the classic “We here your feedback.”
But to answer your question, no Infinite is done.
The fact that this isn’t a thing yet is insane. Just add a mute option.
Tatanka was already going to be delayed two years, and I can’t imagine most of that other stuff coming within the next year or two. We might get scuffed Forge, we might get another 3 seasons, we might even get a custom games browser, but will it be enough to bring back the initial launch millions of players? Of course not. Forge itself could bring back maybe 50,000 to 100,000 people, but you’re going to need a lot more added or changed than what’s on your list to bring back a significant portion
Infinite will recover when desync gets fixed.
I’ve been saying this a lot, content doesn’t mean crap when the game’s coding and networking is broken.
If there wasn’t any desync the lack of content can be some what forgiven bc you can just play a game that runs well and you wouldn’t have to worry about dying behind walls 24/7.
Again Infinite will recover when desync is fixed but not by a lot because the damage is already done.
No. The only thing Halo Infinite got right was it’s (delayed) release date, smack dab in the middle of a AAA content drought. Since then, it’s all been downhill.
10 months until the third season if the “Winter Update” proves insignificant. In more practical terms, another year’s delay for the game’s content.
No. The game should have been delayed another 2 years. Desync and servers won’t see any improvement until at least Season 4. They invested 9 figures to create a new game engine and there’s large issues with it. They need years and another 9 figures to create the stable build that was originally envisioned.
The game’s reputation is too damaged. It seems like too little too late. It took them 6 years to get the game out and it barley had anything. There’s little chance they’ll be able to repair it, especially anytime soon.
Destiny 2 was in similar shape and look at it now.
Just saying. Fixing your game can go a long way.
Some people may never come back and that’s fine. If you don’t leave a good impression, that’s what will happen. All that matters now is improvement.
Difference is destiny 2 released DLC in a timely manner. Just take a look at these DLC releases
|Destiny 2 Base Game|6 September 2017|
|Curse of Osiris DLC|5 December 2017|
|Warmind DLC|8 May 2018|
|Forsaken|4 September 2018|
|Black Armory|4 December 2018|
|Joker’s Wild|5 March 2019|
|Penumbra|4 June 2019|
Then we have 343 with 10 month seasons lol
I could see a possibility if everything on your list comes with season 3, but it won’t, not even half. So no.
Point is, Infinite can make a comeback if 343 fixes the game.
Mind you, it’s a pretty big IF. 343 needs to stop screwing around. Seriously, stop trying the community’s patience.
Yeah, yeah. I understand the differences.
I’m saying, Destiny 2 was thought dead as well and now look at it.
So, it’s a yes from me if they manage to fit all of these fixes. Their ability is solely based on their willingness to get themselves into a fashionable shape. If they want to play around, fine. Just don’t expect any kindness from the community.
Destiny 2 was always a good game at base the main issue is when you do everything and things become repetitive. especially given people dont rlly overly focus on the pvp game mode aspect
Destiny isn’t a fair comparison. Its mostly PvE to my knowledge, the game is built and designing differently. Realistically the best situation we could expect would be a Fortniteesque one, where CA release a BR mode, and the game is resurrected like a phoenix, but nobody knows how long until they release it nor do they know if it’ll be any good. ![]()
