Just like the subject suggests, can i use the Halo 4 soundtrack on my youtube videos? I’m not sure exactly how that goes about, as i read the copyright thing but i’m still a little confused… it said we can use owned stuff to create cool things? I want to use them for stuff like show casing forge maps, gameplay, commentary, and stuff like that in general.

Yes you can…you may get a copyright strike from the studio who published the CD but its only to add ads to your videos. I have the full OST on my channel.

You won’t get in trouble, you’ll get a notice saying you have copyright material.
Like what EF Deathwing said, you’ll get ads placed on/around your video.
I think it would be fine as long as you don’t claim ownership of the soundtracks, and give credit to 343i.
Like the others have said, you’ll have to acknowledge that you’re using copyrighted material and allow ad popups on your videos, but you should be able to use it.
If your video is not for profit and you cite the copyright for Xbox, Microsoft and 343i you will be fine to use it as a free fan made video. You are not allowed to sell, distribute for piracy or pass off as your own work etc.

So basically if I’m just creating lets say “art” with the music from halo 4 or any other halo, then I can use it as long as I give credit to the big guys, and I don’t use it fro my own PROFIT?
