I activated my Halo PC cd key for the halo reach nameplate. is there anyway I can get my cd key back? I can’t find it anywhere, and it’s the last place I got to use it
Sadly, there is no way to retrieve your code if you don’t have it written down somewhere or the original box.
Found this after a little digging. It requires an installed copy of the game. So if you are looking to find the CD Key so you can install the game, then this won’t help. If you are looking for the CD Key because you lost it, but the game is installed, this will work.

Copy and Paste the DigitalProductID into a new Notepad and save it. Now backspace the slashes and make it so theres 8 hex characters per line. Meaning 8 of the 2 letter/numbers or 16 total characters in all.

I would also like to know does Halo CE have a CD key limit? I know Halo 2 PC has a 5 use CD key limit but does the same apply to Halo CE? Thanks.
There is no limit on how many times you can re-use the key to install the game, but you can only join a server with one instance of that key. So if you wanted to install it on your desktop and then your laptop, you could play on one than then move to the other.

Ok thank you! Yeah I just got a official copy last week and haven’t installed it yet but now I don’t need to worry about a CD Key install limit.
A few things, if you’re looking for your CD Key, and you still have the game installed on some machine, go to Halomaps.org | Halo CD Key Recovery Tool, there’s an “App” that was made back when I was really into playing Custom Edition, that will search your computer for the CD Key for Halo, and that’s it’, it’s whole job is that. trust me, it’s much safer and easier to use than doing what Yiazmat012 stated.
As for installs, no, there is no install limit, but if you install it on two or more machines, those machines can’t play in the same match together.
If you need any more tips, I highly suggest you find a forum board that’s a little more Halo PC friendly than these forums.

It’s been some time since I last played Halo Custom Edition, but I still remember a lot of where I can go to get cool maps, mods, and utilities for Halo PC and Custom Edition.
I’ve tried the Bungie forums who pointed me to Belarc Advisor, sadly turned up with nothing, and I tried my Register Editor for the serial but no luck, and sadly Halo CD Key Recoverer can’t find it either. I really want to find this key! >__<
