The amount of smurf accounts is getting stupid. Played a game at diamond 4, with a bunch of diamond 4-5’s on my team. The other team had a low plat that DESTROYED us. This dude was clearly HIGH Onyx. I want to pay money so I don’t go against smurf accounts please.
even if you did you’d still run into them smurfing is a thing and nothing is gonna make it stop
It would be a lot less common if you had to pay for an account to smurf on.
no no it wouldn’t it’d eb the same
That’s literally impossible.
pal you underestimate the smurfers they always find ways to do this payed or not
actually “pal” - you clearly don’t understand basic economics
You can still pay them…
But you don’t pay for an account, but for the game itself. Look at MCC, you had to pay to play that, but that was also filled with smurfs, because of that.
Even if the game was paid, you will still encounter them because new accounts get 3 months game pass. for $1
Gears 5 is a paid game and that didnt stop a popular hacker from creating a brand new account every week
No you.
If I buy a game, any account on my xbox has access to that game. This keeps my kids from having to rebuy a game we already own. As is, I can add
accounts to my xbox and have them all play the games I own. This would include Halo infinite weather it’s free or paid.
Pug is not wrong when he says that the number of smurf accounts would not be noticeably effected.
pal you only pay for the game thats it the account is just made and thats it my math adds up
@pugwash1 Yeah but paid games on xbox game pass or console require you to have xbox live. Which is account specific. You’d see far less smurfs if the game was paid. Like someone else said in here though – they’ll still probably find a way.
Im not sticking up for the OP’s idea to make the game paid though. Just helping explain because some PC/steam users may not be familiar with the XBL subscription or game pass.
I remember back in the day there was a deal you could start an XBL account and the first month was free. I know guys that would make up to 10 accounts on their system and just rank boost to lvl50 on Halo 3. Some would even sell accounts
Actually its not. You only need Live on one account and then every account on the xbox can play online.
Sadly they are right, this wouldnt stop smurfing.
they should just make it a requirement to have played 50 social games before ranked is even displayed. That would slow it down.
I played a guy teh other day “unranked” had 5 games total to his name and almost 150 kills. 47 in one game alone.
Its a joke how ill thought out infinite has been in almost every single aspect.
Tbh, this is news to me. It hasnt always been this way – right?
Its been that way for a few years now. I’m fairly certain it wasn’t this way in the 360 days though.
That explains it… i havent played a ton over the last few years. And if i did, ive only used one account. A lots changed since 2005🤣
Nevermind then… No way to stop smurfs. Sorry lol
Xbox has a home xbox system, one account pays “everyone else” gets to enjoy it.
No, don’t apologise. No need, your absolutely right, they do need to stop smurfing.
Its just with every aspect of this title its just not been thought out at all. Like i said, they should make it so a user has to play and complete 50 or so social games, that way it would take too much time to smurf a ranked account.
Bro, on console you can create as many accounts as you want to play the same game and you only need to have 1 copy of the game, it would literally be the same… As long as they play on the same console they can have 7494383737 accounts even if the game is paid…
