Maybe it can sound dumb for some people, but i want to know if there is any way in which i can play Halo 5 (or any xbox game) in PC using the xbox one disc and my xbox one controller.
Not yet, unfortunately. It seems like microsoft is trying to integrate Xbox and Windows so maybe one day in the future we can. I mean, people thought we would never be able to get 360 compatibility with the Xbox One, but it’s there now and working really well (and it’s all done on the software side). So I wouldn’t say it’s never going to happen…
Just probably not anytime soon.
As for your controller, it works!! I’m not sure if it connects wirelessly if you have windows 10 because I don’t have that, but on my laptop I can connect it with the charge cable and play pretty much any game with it (which is really nice because I think most PC controllers feel really uncomfortable).
If you’re looking for some Halo 5 content on PC, you can get Forge for free. I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve heard good things.
You cannot use any console discs on your PC; they will not run.
But if you are using Windows 10, you can install Halo 5s multiplayer onto it (excluding matchmaking, Warzone and Campaign) for free. But it requires a surprisingly Beefy set-up, so a standard laptop or cheap desktop probably won’t run it.
No you can’t run Xbox disc or any console ported discs on PC.
The closest way you’re gonna play Halo 5 on is PC is downloading Halo 5 Forge. Keep in mind that this version does NOT include matchmaking, campaign and warzone but you can download it for FREE.
If you’re wondering what are the minimum specs are required to run H5: Forge…
