Anyone else think that 343i should introduce a new armor permutation that can only be unlocked by completing a set of achievements? (Incredibly hard ones though).
I’d do it. Just like I did all the vidmasters on two different accounts in Halo 3 just to have Recon
No. Armor is only cosmetic, if you set up a hard path to obtain achievements or can only obtain armor for X thing, then it will encourage boosting and cheating.
Armor should NOT be this way.
Getting Recon in Halo 3 was a blast, definitely would be up for that.
I worked hard on those Vidmasters. I was proud to have Recon. Then a few weeks later Bungie handed Halo over to 343i and Recon became available to everyone. 
It should be like before the vidmasters when you had to do something amazing to get recon. Everyone who had it was like a celebrity

In what way did any of the Vidmaster challenges encourage boosting? Also, there’s already a lot of Halo 4 armor pieces that require boosting due to impossible or hard commendations (for those who want them).
Yes but I don’t like co-op campaign/spops ones though as I have no-one to play with. I am a lone wolf.

Well, it was more of achievement modding than anything, but I do remember people boosting in the FFA playlist for the Lightswitch and 7 on 7 challenges.
Personally, I’d rather not see this return in achievement form, in challenge form then it would be fine.
I just wish there was a different or at least harder way to earn armor…Ranking up in Halo 4 is just way too easy that I eventually forgot there was even a ranking system. No joke. I miss Halo 3/2’s skill level 
Commendations aren’t hard enough to unlock helmets because eventually you get those too. More than most of the armor is unlocked by time and dedication. That’s not hard enough.
I don’t even really care if they give us a reward or not, I’d just be happy to have some challenging new achievements period. Episode 5 of Spartan comes out in a few days and once it does I’ll be done. 1000/1000. That should not happen with a Halo game this flippin fast.
Maybe, but not through Vidmasters.
It was Bungies thing. They could think of something else, that is as awesome as the Vidmasters!

Vidmasters should definitely be brought back. they should add some new armor with it, via TU.

Yeah, and most of those celebrities got hacked and nobody ever heard from them again.

It’s not a challenge, everyone knows about the code. Hayabuyusa armor back in H3 was cooler IMO and knowing that it was hard to get made it awesome. Vidmasters give you something to do in the game, rather than just grind away at matchmaking all day long.
