i was wondering if helioskrill was unlockable through the req packs cause I cannot finish halo 2 campaign on legendary due every trick I could find didn’t help at all and now I’m calling it quits

Scarab gun skull? Halo 2 legendary piece o’ cake 
Luckily we get it that way too, because for some reason i get stuck in Halo CE as well as Halo 2 on legendary in the MCC (Truth and Reconciliation after the lift as well as Metropolis with the Snipers), which is weird because i managed every Halo Game apart from ODST on Legendary before. So unless i finally manage that, that will be the only way for me. 
Seriously why can’t I manage that? Am I getting old?
Imo halo ce was harder on legendary than 2 both was hard as heck tho and I was about to give up many times.

The only part in Halo CE that was hard as balls was TaR with the Zealots coming out of the doors. The rest of the game itself was fairly moderate if you knew to switch to the plasma rifle/pistol + Magnum/shotgun/sniper.
But Halo 2? Forget the sniper jackels, the docking rooms in Cairo station pooped on any segment of any Halo game. And that’s just the first level

Helioskrill imo wouldn’t be my choice for something to be really hard to get. Maybe recon because of it 's rep of being obscure, bringing back its hardness to obtain like in the vidmasters, or maybe another armor type, but helioskrill does not have that same tone. But that isn’t going to stop me from getting it xD still looks cool!
I’m pretty sure all armor is available through REQ packs
The way they put it, its probably easier to beat the legendary campaign of H2. Theres about 500 permanent reqs, and the armor is mythic status. Its incredibly rare. Even if you get a mythic req card, it has a miniscule chance of being helioskrill. and THEN, you have to get the other half.
If at all possible, get the legend achievement and save yourself some pain.

lol trading pain of hoping your req pack has helioskrill vs the pain of enduring four legendary campaigns. I don’t know which is worse xD One is a gamble that can cause depression the other is a way to get a quick aneurysm xD

Totally agree, it was far from easy to achieve and for it to be obtainable through sheer luck is an upset

Also, during my MCC playthrough, I found that part to be rather easy. Save your nades, have a plasma pistol handy, even if that means abandoing your snipe, and dont bother with the ar it’s almost useless on legendary
And save the camo behind the crate for when it hits the fan.
I spent a ton of time to get Helioskrill and now anyone without the patience/ ability to run through the campaigns can get it regardless. Man that really cheapened the accomplishment.

Try something like that. Ive never really had an issue there. Mostly just use the strategy I used in the video. Hope it helps. 
I just have Halo 4 to beat and then I’ve got it! The only thing that gave me trouble was Truth and Reconciliation. That mission almost made me quit trying to get the achievement. I honestly don’t know how I got through it, just luck and determination I suppose.
Sadly you can. Really ruins it in my opinion.
