Can I get a 343 response? When is infection coming

What would even be the point of forge without it, 75% of custom games use it. We can’t have “the biggest forge yet” if we can’t have fun like we had in Reach with it.

The point if forge without it? Making competitive maps for me.

I am far more interested in forging fun custom games that will leave a brand in our minds that we won’t forget. I’m praying that upon the release of forge, halo 5 will become the next Reach.

You know what would be even more amazing? Allowing us to create our own custom gametype variants from complete scratch.

I’m sure it will come soon…

I would bet that all the cut game modes come back as free DLC and everyone will be jumping for joy as if they’re being given a great gift. I predict at least January before 343 even remember these gametypes officially and mention them as coming soon.

Let me tell you something about infection. It started as a BTB custom game in Halo 2:

Teams: 15 Humans (red team) and 1 Zombie (green team)

Scoring: Unlimited

Time: Unlimited

Weapons: Shotguns, and swords (Humans could only use shotguns, Zombies could only use swords)

Ammo: Limited

Player traits: No shields or Radar

Map type: CQB maps

How it worked: When the players spawned, the Humans had a minute to find a place to hide and start setting up barriers by pushing or punching objects into place. If a Human was killed by a Zombie after that 1 minute was up, the player would switch to the Zombie team and use a sword for the rest of the game. You would keep playing until all the humans were consumed.

If infection is not coming to Halo 5 just yet, then this is a good alternative. Easy to make, Easy to explain, no DLC required

It might pass by as a weekend playlist eventually I hope. Then you can vote on it and if it’s popular enough it will make it in permanently. Getting a 343 guy to reply in this post is wishful thinking, but at least we can give you what we have.

I know infections popular, but I miss oddball personally. I really like halo 5’s multiplayer but the objectives playlist were a bit lacking imo.

Almost exactly how we played, just we used shotguns only. Pistols always seemed to give our humans to much of an advantage. Although 15 shotguns pointed at one door could be a little rough for the zombie.

It’s been while so I’m not really sure. But I think you’re right, I think Magnums were on the map but had zero respawn,

I’d just love to have a vast list of different gamemodes for custom games. I hope all this will come with the forge update, and if it doesn’t i’l just say, “You almost did it 343i”.
I’m not too worried though, because with enough complaining, it will probably be added in a patch.

All of the modes are probably ready, just being held back so they can “polish” them and release them one at a time with their DLC updates.

Reach had pistols and it was not fun for the Zombies getting headshotted 24/7… but the Survivors would often run out of Magnum ammo before the match was over… and their numbers would slowly dwindle down.

I assume it will eventually be added.
