So, when I’m playing Halo4 for a longer time, the Music is getting on my nerves cause the same track is playing over and over. I really enjoyed the silence in Reach after I started the matchmaking search. Will be there none option for this?
Actually, you can disable the music without there being an explicit option for it.
- Press the guide button (big silver button, middle of your controller.)
- Scoll on over to the media tab and select a track for the player (if nothing’s been pre-installed on your HDD just upload a CD or plug in an iPod or Zune.)
- Pause the music.
- Close the guide.
- Profit.
This definitely applies for the campaign and I believe it works for the menus too.
Yeh the music really annoys me too! I have never thought to install some music and play that instead…

Yes, it will (I do it all the time.) The key point is that you don’t actually need to play your music if you’re like the OP and are just trying another variety of mute button. Just start a custom track up and then hit pause. The game [should] still disable the in-game stuff and you won’t actually have to listen to anything if you don’t want to.

…you do realize that you have to go through menus to play this game, right? Even in that short time you’re still subjected to background music and here’s a handly little way to disable that if the new Halo score bothers you.

i made a thread about this “issue” to, i got one good answer, and that’s was the “pause music thing” everyother answer was idiots saying im a “stupid -Yoink-” for complaining and not playing the game instead of sitting in the lobby.

Well, when you gather a bunch of people together who’ve been playing a game (whose highest art form is tea-bagging) for years now you’re not going to get too many people that are going to respond without reflexively going for verbal equivalent of the crouch button.

Reviewing stats, summarising and deciding which commendations to focus my attention on, making my Spartan look pretty with new armour. Updating / tweaking loadouts. Waiting for matchmaking. After a while the music gets tedious - real fast actually.
There is nothing wrong with the members of the community asking how to mute or change music.
The real problem in this ‘community’ is people acting like a smart -Yoink-, being belligerent and posting stupid comments instead of addressing the OP’s question or contributing anything worthwhile and related to the thread.

I think if you put some music on your hard drive and select it to play like the other guy and turn the music volume for it all the way down then you’ll have no music at all, just game sounds. Or you can turn it up a little and enjoy what ever music you want. I stream music from my iMac while I’m playing all the time.
try the “mute” button on your TV remote, it works quite well

Sometimes the menu just sits there after you start a search. Maybe you should think before you try to sound smart.
