Hello,
I am eager to join the flighting for the PC versions of Halo as well as Halo: Infinite.
I am currently overseas so i would be using a laptop which is not as powerful as my home desktop PC. However, I will be returning in a little over a month.
I know you request a PC report for flighting. Will I have to re-submit this when I return or can I change it once I return?
Thank you.
You can change it as time goes on. Just click on your name > Halo Insider > PC Flighting > PC Specifications. From there you can remove and re-upload your DxDiag (PC specs).
If you plan on playing with your Desktop, then submit the DxDiag file from that. The initial flight has only just begun so by the time you get back there will most likely be more flights with a larger control group.

I would, but I don’t have access to it untill around August 5th. I would still like to participate in flighting between now and then if possible (the laptop is deffinately good enough to run it well)
I’m just eager to get in and get involved in the process!

While you’re still using your laptop primarily, use the laptop specs. When you move back to you desktop, switch over. They’re going to test computers of varying power to ensure that it runs well, so I doubt one will give you an advantage over the other when it comes to getting picked for the flights.

Right now we don’t know if changing your DxDiag file will alter your chances of getting into future flights so it’s hard to say if you should use your laptop one now or desktop in the future.
We also don’t know if there will be another flight between now and then. Most likely yes but there is no guarantee.
When you initially signed up did you submit your desktop file or your laptop

Thanks for the advice guys. I’ll just try changing them on the fly.
I am in Japan and have been for two months so I initially signed up with the laptop specifications, however, I won’t have this laptop when I return to the UK.
Hopefully it shouldn’t make two much of difference!

Ah, you are in an awkward spot. Keep your laptop DxDiag file until you return to the UK. Once you have returned, change it to the desktop DxDiag file. Being accurate and honest about your specs are important. Hopefully changing it won’t impact your chances but right now no one knows.
Have fun in Japan!

I think that’s what I’ll do! Hopefully it doesn’t have a negative impact.
Thanks!
