Doubt it, but who knows.
I’m getting to the end of Forerunner now but I don’t rank up on Reach for any chance of some sort of prize for Halo 4, I rank up because I love Reach.

Hear hear. Reach is the most fun I’ve had in a long time. And probably the most entertaining FPS I’ve ever played, there’s so much stuff to do.
I got Recon in Halo 3. That took me a good few hours of my life that are now redundant.
I got nothing in Halo: Reach.

You probably will cut it close. I’m about 25% complete with Forerunner now but I believe I can hit it by 4 because of the larger credit payout. I’d say, challenges+FF+a lot of MM will get you there.

Yes you can make it to the rank of inheritor before Halo 4 comes out. Once you reach Nova you only need 9 million more credits to go. It seems a lot, but it will pass by faster than you think. You will have to hit the credit limit 45 times from Nova until you get to inheritor or get 100,000 credits per day for a total of 90 days. Play competitive or cooperative matchmaking, complete the weekly and daily challenges, and if you want set up some of your own custom challenges. It took me about a month to get through the rank of Nova, and a month and a half to get through the rank of Forerunner. I became a Reclaimer about a month ago and now I need a little more than 500,000 credits to reach inheritor. So on average expect to be at each rank for a good month.
